Betting with offshore sportsbooks is legal in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.  In fact, RUNNING an offshore sportsbook is legal in those states.

i have 4k on my pokerstars and i have 2k on full tilt.
i'm not worried at all.

what im concerned about is why the us department of justice is going after poker rather than the firms, banks and investment companies that caused the shithole our economy is in and they got tax bail out $

Good point.  Our government is a criminal organization, and those banks etc. are part of the racket.

Sports betting is legal in pretty much whole Europe and australia,canada etc etc,well pretty much all the world except usa and probably some radical islamic countries,it just doesnt make sense.

well you know that they made it legal in WASHINGTON D.C. for internet poker.....so if they can shutdown the outside poker sites and limit it to ONLY that place,,,,,dont you think they will make a tidy sum....AND have a monopoly on internet poker for all of the U.S.                  crazy huh

Its a gamble bro, it always is.  I wouldnt deposit more than you can afford to lose.  No one expected these poker sites to get hit like this.  We could get hit at any time.  Am I worried about it, hell no but know it could happen.  And to my homie who said he has 6k in those poker sites and is not worried.  Well you must be loaded my man cause good chance you aint getting it back!

I pulled my $ out of 5dimes and just got a local. I dont think anything is going to happen to them for now but why take the risk?

I live in Iowa and went to a catholic school. I don't know anyone named tony the pencil or larry big thumbs... Its not absolutly hunky dorry here tho, We actually have alot of crime here in Cedar Rapids. It is 5 hours from chicago, minneapolis, Kansas city, Omaha, St. louis. So we get all those cities rejects that are running from there problems there. But no I dont know any bookies.
