28 seconds left- coach calls time out for Heat. You see the expression of lebron's face as the team huddles ... dumbfounded - a look like nothing I've seen before- just looking at him that split second, you could sense an empty hole in his soul ; his face. All that hard work - down 94 - 89 ... it's over this can't be real- heat just lost the friggn 2013 NBA championship in game 6.
The next 28 seconds made national basketball history.
Lebron was given the spear of destiny for his team as they return from the huddle. After he misses his first 3 attempt Lebron drops it in from behind the arc thanks to Mike Miller's rebound.
Kawhi Leonard misses free throw 1 of 2 - 19 seconds.
95 - 92 - 19 seconds left.
7 seconds left - Lebron chokes - it's all over. ... dajifo dfs90u adsf093 390f 3WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bosh lob pass RAY ALLEN WTF 333333333333333 sh11111111111ttttttt.
EVERY GAME RAY ALLEN IS ON THE COURT HOURS BEFORE ANYONE IS THERE PRACTICING SHOTS. HIS PREP PAYED OFF HUGE. BUT HOW - NO MATTER HOW MUCH PRACTICE- CAN A HUMAN BEING MAKE THAT SHOT.

Great anecdote of that awesome comeback. Watching Ray Allen over the years has been great and im glad he is still going strong.
Good things happen to good people, and I don't mean that in a karma sort of way. I agree with the OP that Ray's pre-game routine and work ethic has lead to his sustained success.
I doubled down with 2H MIA -7 on my MIA game wager and was thrilled to see it go to OT.

You know .. If Leonard had made that first free throw and the officials had called a foul when Gino came through, Heat win wouldn't even be a friggin scenario.
Get it in the 7th Spurs

Funny thing is, before Game Six I posted that Allen should start OVER LEBRON. His clutch shooting and play is much better and Lebron would be more effective coming off the bench.
Then with a couple minutes left in the Fourth, I posted that Spoelstra should send every play through Alen, not Lebron because we all know what a choker the King is.
Sure enough, Lebron tried his hardest to blow it. Even Miller knew to go to Allen and not back to Lebron when he got that rebound.
Spoelstra is an amateur in a suit and it was laughable being able to out coach him sitting in my living room.

I completely agree- Lebron would be WAAAY more usefull if you put him in the last 5-7 mins of each half. Save his energy to close the quarters strong.
Spoelstra IS an amateur - he has no place as the coach of the best NBA team in history. His basketball IQ hides behind his stacked team. If Spoelsty coached the Blazers - they'd go 10-33.
Heat would EASILY demolish the spurs if only he knew how to control different aspects of the game and had a more demanding effect on the team. Instead - he's just a midget that pretends his teams actually listens to what he says.
Heat need to get a new coach - only way they can win 3 championships in a row. They will win this one.

Love the timeout with Spoelstra they showed in Game Five when they were down 19. "Ok guys, listen. We've been here before in the season. You can't score 19 points in one play. We have to go possession-by-possession and score them one at a time. Win every possession."
A walking, talking cliche. I was actually waiting for some actual coaching to happen in that timeout, but there wasn't any. What a jokester. Might as well just said, hell boys, just go out there and make baskets, I'll be sitting here watching you on the bench. Sometimes I'll stand up and walk around too.
