All the good cappers on here are going with Boston. Think about it.....the largest spread over the last couple of games was around 3 to 4 points and now its 6.5 to 7. Knowing that a high pt spread like that is gonna get alot of Boston love and yet the spread stays the same. I hate to say it but the Fakers is the play tonight, they prolly win by 9-11 pts. Comments please

I would expect the Lakers to get a lot of love from the zebras tonight, a lot. That 6.5 pt spread may not be as comfortable as some may see it.

I take +7 over +2 or +3 or +4 anytime.  You have a problem dude with your analysis. If you consider to play the favorite, I will take -2 or -3 or -4 over -7 anytime. Get the point. I don't understand why -7 is better than -2.

Depends on what you interpret as a "good capper"... I have seen plenty of "good cappers" on the lakers

I feel that if  vegas is giving you -7 in a game like this then they know something. In my perspective if its -2 then vegas is expecting a tighter game. Ive been around long enough to see this happen time after time.

Lets not forget the knock on Boston at the start of the playoffs was that they are too old and lost a step, yet all were talking about is Bynum. Going from Boston to Cleveland is a lil diffrent than going from Boston to La with only one day off.

Difference is that Lakers are now at home and they are still favored over Boston from a game by game basis.

I understand your point but you might not be explaing it correctly.

Either way, Boston has gotten stronger as the series has gone on while Lakers look like they are fading.  Playing in Boston could be the reason.

Badlands....if you look at my first post I said the last couple games not every game in the series, but since you brought that up Im sure you noticed the margin of winning was alot higher when the spread was 5 or 6 than when the spread was a 3 or 4 pts.

Raider, I'm with u on this one bud.  I respect a lot of cappers in this forum as I understand the amount of time and effort put into this hobby but I still don't understand why they're all over the celtics tonight.  And no, don't throw feelings or stats at me because I don't care much for them.  $ is key.  It drives this business (as well as this nation), from top to bottom, more than you can ever imagine.  Fakers get their name with a good reason and I'm not surprised.

you re comparing apples and oranges, the line is exactly the same for a laker home game.  the line is short in boston because the lakers are the faves.  there is absolutely nothing to read into tonights line, just because the lakers lost a couple games in boston means nothing as far as the line on their home court tonight

This is the worst thread of the day that I have read...flawed up and down...

Badlands you are the only one worth mentioning in here because your reasoning and understanding is good...the creator of this thread is lost...

Point spreads are not created to predict the outcomes to sporting events!!!!!  Please get that in your little heads...

Point spreads are created to draw even money on both sides of a given game.  The line is obviously where Vegas thinks they can balance the action (and more importantly, the money) on this game.  Hence, they take the Vig on run with another victory!

    Boston covers tonight.
Unlike games 1 and 2, Bynum is limited athletically.
Boston also has their rotation figured out.

Wow!!! Pretty cool pickem, coming into someones thread and putting down people, I read your thread and kept my personal thoughts to myself but thanks for coming into mine and informing us that we have "little heads". This is why I don't like to post.....lets just sit back and see what happens tonight and let the score decide who is lost. Thank you for all the insights and BOL to all with whatever you chose.

Not trying to put anyone down...just really sad to see some of these mistakes being made by people.  It is very essential to undersand the dynamics of sports betting, otherwise it is just gambling, and you are going to lose your money...I dont want people to do that, but if they are naive to the situation, then I can't help them.

No hard feeling, and I wish you the best of luck on whatever you play tonight
