just saying...so many people capping off tired vs fresh legs today. These are professional athletes with top of the line trainers. These players have all the tools to accelerate their healing and soreness. I think rust vs in rhythm should play a bigger role into tonight's game. When adrenaline kick in these athlete will compete the whole 48. Remember Uconn and all the tired bs...What happened? They competed at a high level 5 games straight! Just my 2 cent... BOL on whatever you decide

Dan - Thanks for the spell check...But im sure you got the idea...Please show me this stat you speak about...Every situation is different so I'd be surprise you could provide me with a specific stat that shows this exact situation to be proven a real disadvantage for the lakers tonight. Does this stat incorporate age, caliber of players, bench rotation, etc...? Just playing devils advocate because all i've read from OKC backers are that lakers are tired and okc are fresh tonight. I'd prefer a more X and O's breakdown and I personally feel when the Lakers put forth a true team effort(which is the only thing they lack) they are a match up nightmare for any team. And to get 7.5 is way to much for a team that has not had a real game in 8 days. When Bynum, Gausal, and Kobe plays with intensity I think they have a real shot at winning the ML today. And I am banking on that same intensity from game 7 with Den tonight to try and steal one from an OKC team that relies heavily on the perimeter shooting. Days off not good for those types of team. Line makers inflated this line due to the fact that lakers struggled with Denver and OKC swept Mavs. Denver does not get enough credit. GL on your play I have LAL +8.5 (bought 1) big

Its basketball, its not like their playing soccer with full 90min And like the OP said there is advanced formulas nowadays for treatment and recovery, tired vs fresh has very little if any effect..
LAKERS +7.5
RISK 1000 - 900

I lean LA because I think this rest can be disruptive to OKC but this is just a hunch. It may not and they can blow out LA but I dont believe LA will have tired legs tonight due to their 7 game series. We'll see...gl.

If they don't have tired legs to start the game they damn sure will have by games end, that is, if they bother to even show up tonight. There are no advanced formulas for heart and determination. Lakers have a couple of those guys, Thunder is chock full of them.

Denver had a team full of guys who had heart as well. But talent wise, when Kobe, Bynum, and gausal decides to play their will be the same mismatches seen in game 7 with Denver. When Durant and Westbrook have rust from the 8 days off who's going to score from the inside? Perkin? ibaka? They will be abused by Lakers inside game! Not saying LAL win this game at all...Just think they will cover this big number. unlike Mavs who had no inside presence, Lakers will. Bynum will dominate the board as well.

Rest most certainly does matter, statistically speaking, for strictly ML wagering.
Here are some pertinent stats to show that having rest does make winning SU more likely, especially for teams that are at or above a winning percentage of .500:
-Since 2003, all teams, regardless of record, with 4+ days rest have gone 262-227, for a SU winning % of 54%.
-Since 2003, teams that ended the season with a .500 winning percentage or better have gone 196-110 on 4+ days rest, for a SU winning % of 64%.
So, no doubt, having significant rest does lead to more SU victories.

do you really think rest is overrated.....? in this case OKC might be a little off to start off the game but young fresh legs and rest from the short regular season + playoffs = good to me.
rest = huge deal to me.
However I have lakers +7.5 only because I saw a fight in them closing out denver and mentally back on track to eye reaching the NBA finals together. OKC may win but I don't think it'll be a blow out like people expect. as much as I hate the lakers..if they're in the zone expect a close game plus artest about to pull something ridiculous! hopefully not another elbow lmao
