First let me preface this my stating my units this year will range from 1 - 22. I doubt I will ever go over 22 units. Don't bother asking me a monetary amount of my units. Firstly, you would not believe me considering the fact that I only bet 1%-2% of my bankroll on average. Secondly, I would never promote betting the amounts I do unless you can afford to lose it, never every bet what you cannot afford to lose.
My writeups for the next week and a half will include my Western Conference previews when betting on or against any team in the West, for more info on what I think about the East you can check out my preview post for that Conference.
Lastly, my usual posting times will either be right before tip-off (which I prefer since injuries and lineup news are always changing), or very early (due to the time difference here in Kenya)
I will end this with a statement Kap uses all the time, this is a marathon not a race, take it easy and most of all have fun! Peace out - - - MAK

MIAMI HEAT - 2.0 (-110) - - - There is just something about the Rockets I do not like this year. Their bench is thinner than an anorexic high school girl. I usually love international players but Papanikoloau and Montiejunas have not impressed me at all thus far. They seem to be lost in the speed of the NBA, a very different gear than that of the international circuit. They will get their feet under them, but not so early in the season. Jason Terry is enjoying his 16th season in the NBA, but I just don't see the Jet making a big difference on this team, he is back in Texas, but he left his game all the way back in Dallas. Troy Daniels is a sharpshooter but getting no time under coach McHale. The starting lineup of the Rockets is solid, Harden is a monster averaging about 250 free-throws a game, I joke but the kid is so sick, he drives to the hoop with reckless abandon. Pat Beverley is healthy, is a great starting point guard with immense ability on the defensive end. Trevor Ariza got paid and for damn good reason, the Rockets will not miss Parsons at all and paid Trevor half of what Chandler got, they will be very happy with Ariza's defensive aptitude and ability to hit the 3 point shot. Dwight Howard is well...Dwight Howard, we all know what he can do. Terence Jones is the most improved player I have seen this year and has a very good chance at winning the award. My main reason for pulling the trigger on this bet was his absence tonight. He will be sorely missed with such a thin bench. For info on the Heat check out my full preview on them, very high on their roster this year.
4 UNITS GLEN "THE ORIGINAL NOT JR" RICE - - -
TORONTO RAPTORS - 11.5 (-110) - - - Wow, how can I do a writeup on on the Thunder right now? My preview would consist of 3 lines. Let me just say...I think all these injuries could be a god send, I think this is the best thing that could have ever happened to this Thunder team...no, your boy Mak has not smoked crack. I really think that a cash-strapped team like OKC would never be able to add to their core, they can only improve internally, and this is the perfect way to force the issue. Brooks is an awesome coach and will guide these young studs. Perry Jones is slowly becoming a perennial star, they have decided to let Adams be who he is, a legit 5 man in this league. Ibaka and Reggie will also improve, I love the young kid Roberson. With all that being said, these is the worst injury stretch I have ever seen on any team in the last 20+ years of watching the game. They cannot win a lot of games like this, I hate laying so much chalk, especially with my Raps, but I think they will not take this team for granted and will win easily tonight. We The North.
2 UNITS DAMON "THE MIGHTIEST OF MICE" STOUDAMIRE - - -
CHICAGO BULLS - 10.5 (-115) - - - Check out my preview on the Bulls, I love love love this roster and rotation, no Noah, no problem. Taj moves to the 4 spot and Pau to the 5, Mirotic off the bench...splash, the Bulls finally have depth. Best team in the East + best coach in the East = Mak laying the rare chalk once again.
2 UNITS MICHAEL "HIS BUZZNESS" JORDAN - - -
MILWAUKEE BUCKS + 4.5 (-117) - - - The only reason I decided to play the Bucks tonight was that Kidd finally came to his senses and it was known at pregame that he would start Ersan, read more of my writeup on the Bucks to know why they have been the most frustrating team in the league for me for the past 4 years. An immense amount of talent, just not enough of an intelligent braintrust (organization and coaching) to realize what the hell to do with it, maybe they finally are starting to? We shall see. Bucks win straight up in my opinion, but I will take the points.
1 UNIT GLEN "THE ROTTWEILER" ROBINSON - - -
