It's got to be absolutely crushing to the entire Clippers
organization that Blake Griffin has been lost to injury and will be out six
weeks. The season hasn't even started yet things have already taken a
turn for the worst. I know the Clips have some new blood on their roster,
but for the guys that have been there for a while, you know they almost got to
be thinking, "oh great here we go again, can we ever catch a break?". Just seems really deflating that when
things seem to finally be looking up, something like this would happen. Maybe this year really is different for them and they'll fight through adversity no matter what. But I'd like them to show me something first.
At the same time, it's hard to resist betting against the Lakers and their
ridiculous lines. I love this talk in Lakerland about them possibly
challenging the Bulls regular season record for most wins. How asinine is
that? As fucking if. The Lakers are a good team and I'd still rate
them as the team to beat in the West but they aren't invincible by any stretch.
