Obama may have spoken before realizing sterling is a democrat donor and supporter. 
I have been in the shoes of having racism being directed at me in large measures. I am white (by the way, my uncle is Japanese, my first wife was Cherokee Indian and my current wife is Mexican, another uncle of mine is Mexican, I have one Black Brother in Law and one Black Sister in law) and spent four years working in El Paso (83% Hispanic) and 2+ years working in Downtown Detroit (90 % Black) and was subject of huge amounts of taunting, name calling and even death threats. I was refused service, told to wait my turn until 'other' people were served, etc, etc.
So let me tell you that racism is alive and well and is directed at white people just as it is towards people of other skin colors, religions ( I have quite a few Jewish friends who receive abuse on a regular basis), sexual preferences, etc, etc. so please keep your haughtier that thou attitude to yourself junior
