Aussieguy: Still undecided though what I'm playing tomorrow. Too many losses to just flipantly take a punt...
Good retort. The only reason I would choose the over, notice I didn't say bet....;~) The only reason being, is that the Spurs are one of those teams who seem to have their shit together, and they generally play point totals with the sort of teams they face. The recent differences between their Jersey and Denver games is what I mostly mean. Combine that with the fact that there be something up with Phoenix and their dee-fence.
All that being said, I generally won't do totals unless I see a 5-10 pt sort differential in my mind. Even though this one wouldn't be a surprise to me if it went over by 10 or so, this one is probably too close for a call.
Other than Detroit & Toronto tomorrow, I'll be doing mostly college ball.

I don't think you can use any of the recent games played by Phx as an example of how offensively efficient they are. Nobody has even slowed Amare down in the last month, except the Spurs. The proper defensive game plan is shutting down Amare...not Nash.
Spurs played some good D in denver and that game barely went over. They played more openly at home vs Indy....but most teams clamp down on defense on the road...I dunno, I've been wrong 50% of the time this last month.

Too tough to call ... Both teams capable of doing some damage when hot. Can't predict who will be hotter ??? Total too unpredictable as well. You can't tell what tempo will be played. I think there are better bets elsewhere.
GL on you plays though.

Glad to know we're on the same side with the Suns. This game isn't the safest play regarding the over/under. I think the under 196.5 is a great play in the Pistons/Bulls game. GL Rod!

BigKSolo......The Suns don't lose on Sunday unless they are playing the Pistons, right? How could we forget the 30 point blowout, eh? Time for redemption......GL

Tough little spot for the Spurs right here. Coming off an 11 game winning streak they lose to the Nuggets, then have to face up to the Suns at the Airways in the early Sunday game playing their 3rd game in 4 days before playing B2b at home for a quick little revenge spot against the rabble from Colorado.
Both teams playing off a day's rest. I liken this scenario to just over a month ago where the Spurs came to the Airways and got the win coming off 3 straight losses. It was a must win for them at the time and few were giving them much hope at the time as they were playing their worst basketball of the season. You could see it that night, the Spurs were far more hungrier than the Suns. Well tomorrow it's now do or die for the Suns, everyone including many of their own fans have written them off post Shaq trade. Fair enough, their record has been woeful since the trade.
However motivationally this is the spot for the Suns to prove themselves on national TV against the team that were basically the reason they made the Shaq move to begin with.
This is the Suns' GOY.

Line now up to +2 for the Suns...

I am thinking of passing on the Suns and just playing very LARGE on the totals. UNDER is the only option as far as I'm concerned! I said earlier today, I will follow you blindly on this one and take the Suns +the pts, but I am liking the UNDER way too much now. Whadda ya reckon?!
AUSSIE
Like the under as well Aussie but decided to stick with the side in this one. Think it is going to be a struggle just like the Suns/Celtics game a couple of weeks ago

I'm with you Rod, but I'm a little bit of a homer when it comes to the Suns........
Perhaps I am in the same boat as you D-Hop but as I mentioned above, if this type of game doesn't get them going then no game will. Even I'll write off their chances this season as well.

i never saw the suns losing 3 straight this season. in their recent games against denver, they we're the dogs by +7 failed to cover, the recent home game against utah they collapsed in the 4th qtr. i thought they already had that game, but i was wrong. i like your pick rod! GL

Suns better start winning these types of games against the WEST opponents or Steve Kerr maybe be remembered for this questionable Shaq trade and not the numerous big shots he made in his playing days.
Granted I have not seen every Suns game but I'm staying away from them until they show me they can beat quality teams.

I like the pick. Spurs looked like a team ready to lose a few in a row Friday night ! They were horrible in the 2nd Half ! Getting some of this too Rod, nice pick !
