i don't see why not to like these picks. but these angles arent strong imo.
Mr. Good, as I said, I posted this at 5am after a night out. Didn't really give much of an angle for the plays.
Dallas -4
Veteran team coming of an embarrassing loss. For most of the series, have proven to be the better team. If Chandler could stay out of foul trouble(or if the refs stop looking to give him fouls), they will win this game easily as they did the first two. It's taken amazing performances by Wes Matthews and a hobbled B Roy for Portland to win. These things don't happen often. Guys like Dirk, J-Kidd and J Terry are consistent and they will perform.
Spurs -1
Spurs will not go down 3 - 1. Too much pride for this veteran team. Their lack of size and athleticism which makes it difficult to stick with the Memphis bigs scares me a bit. With this play, i'm betting Memphis, as an inexperienced team compared to the Spurs, won't react as well in this position being up 2 - 1 and the pressure of almost being expected to win. Spurs have been here before plenty.
Nuggets - 3
I think OKC wants to have another party at home. I know this sounds crazy but these players love playing at home and it won't be the worst thing to go back home up 3 - 1, in front of a frenzied crowd with a chance to put Denver away. Sounds nuts I know but I think these things linger in the players' brains. Also, Denver has some pride and I think they want to prove somewhat they are still a good team after the Anthony trade. If they get swept, all their regular season success will go out the window and all they will hear is how they needed an Anthony type player. They should come out with a vegeance.
Nuggs -1 first qrtr. Same as above. Catch OKC a little bit in comfort mode. Come out with their best qrtr yet. Similar to Philly yesterday vs Miami
Dallas - 1 third qrtr. Strong second half team. Veteran team that will make adjustments where needed and take control of game at this point.
