Nuggets - i only saw the 4 th q... wow what a terribly coached team right now. a shell of the team they were last yeat at this point without igoudala and galinari. no reliable post scoring, no reliable shooters, sloppy defense, terrible offensive sets. mcgee would be better off suiting up for the globetrotters and lawson is showing why he is not quite in the "elite" category of point guards. they started out last year really slow and will turn it around, especially when they get the sharpshooting of galinari back, but going to hard pressed hitting their 46.5 win total
Pelicans - they are really missing the shooting of ryan anderson and tyreke evans has been very disappointing, though i heard he might be hurt. perimeter defense is terrible, bledsoe got lay-up after lay up tonight, pelicans couldnt get a stop. just a real lack of chemistry and panache. plenty of time to get to 40 wins on the season, but a dissaopinting start not becuase of their 1-3 record, but their lack of consistency on offense and lack of intensisty on defense on the court. monty williams has done a very ggod job the last few years, but with higher expectations and more pressure, he could be one of the first coaches fired this season if this team gets off to a poor start by christmas
utah - a real dearth of talent on this team. kanter and favors not quite ready to be #1 and #2 scoring options. could be the worst team in the nba by seasons end
ny knicks - oh boy this could get ugly in a hurry if the chandler injury is serious. my friend who is a huge knicks fan told me to bet the under 50.5 win total and i am regretting not hammering that for a dime. just a hodge podge of players, egos and personalities that phil jackson would have trouble managing, nevermind woodson. just like last year, this team is going to be very streaky - lose 5 in a row, win 5 in a row. but last years 54 win team was fueled by a hot start that was becuase of incredible hot 3 point shooting from felton, kidd and smith. that shooting has cooled off and the team was essentially .500 team for the rest of.the season until a late season winning streak. once this team starts losing, that lockerroom is going to become real toxic in a hurry, magnified with the ny media, and with the melo free agent speculation. melo will start taking subtle shots at his teammates and how he thinks they need to step up, oblivious to his own medicore defense and shot hoarding tendencies. a serious chandler injury is going to be devestating beacuse woodson is a defensive oriented and not the type of coach to say "fuck it, lets just try and outscore the other guys"

I havent watched enough wizzards to make a judgement on them, but there is another team with high expectations from ownership that could see the coach getting canned a month into the season if they keep up the poor start

I think Atlanta should be thrown in the mix.. sure they wone 2 games, but they almost let sacramento get back in it.. They always find ways to let everybody take a big lead on them.. Everytime I play them it seems they are always playing catch up.. this team really has no heart or desire to win... I took a chance on them today and got lucky full game but lost with tnem 2nd half by half point.. These guys are terrible and are on my fade list and should be on yours too

....And the pelicans come out on the second night of a b2b and play with intensity for 48 minutes vs a rested grizzlies team and blow them out... tyreke evans was still a relative non-factor. sometimes there is no logic at all to this stuff and it can be a real mindfuck
i am going to put the pelicans on the no-bet list for the next month until they show some consistency one way or the other

I wouldnt put detroit on the "teams that look like a mess" list just yet. with all their new players and new coach, its going to take them some time to find their identity and solidify their rotation. they have played ok and havent looked terrible

Hawks @ nuggets tonight and the nuggets are only -4.5? I think that says everything you need to know about what oddsmakers think about the state of the nuggets right now. seems like a cheap price for a team known for having a formidable home court advantage, no play for me. nuggets could blow them out if they get their fast break game going, but absolutely dont trust that team in the half court vs anyone
