I don't know how many of you actually read my thread but just some thoughts I wanted to throw out there:
First of all I listen to the NBA Lockdown podcast on a regular basis and I must say Jorge Sedano is the most annoying host I have ever heard. He is loud, has the most annoying laugh and frankly doesn't know a lot. He will make me stop listening to that one pretty soon.
This is one of the most amazing seasons in any American sport ever. This is the first year that I experienced as an NBA fan that the league is so open. There are at least 8 teams that can win it all, and more than 10 that can make the finals. It's amazing. With that being said the fact the Hawks are favorite to win it all in Vegas is amazing to me. Yes, they are on a historical run and only 2 teams in the history of the league won 28 of 30 and both ended up winning it all. This team is stable, everyone knows their role which is amazing to watch, but you can't win the title without at least 1 mega star, and they don't have that. I think that if they don't meet the Cavs by the finals they can shock the world and possibly make it to the finals, but to go from such a pathetic team to champion in one season is not possible.
I feel almost the same about the GSW. They have a very smart coach. They have 1 mega star and a few other all-stars. They are playing on an extremely high level on both ends of the floor, but I don't see a killer instinct of a champion their just yet. Same thing with the Clipps, they have the best offense in the league, and by far the best PG in the league and the 2nd best coach in the league, but are lacking a championship instinct. I REALLY believe that all this is playing to the Cavs favor. If they can figure out this defense and stay healthy they can beat anyone with this offense. The best player in the world with two of the other top 5-10 players in the league, with some really good role players and a pretty good bench, this team is slowly becoming what it should have been all along.
Now football. This whole thing with the NE is insane. From the beginning of time people cheated, from the beginning of time people cut corners, if not we wouldn't have laws and people to officer them, we have both for over 5000 years. the ONLY one to blame for this is the NFL. The umpires must be able to know this and prevent it, and the fact that each team brings their own balls is the dumbest thing I EVER heard of. It doesn't happen in any other sport. Players and organizations can and will try to get an advantage in anyway they can, the leagues job is to monitor and prevents that. And if they couldn't see it while playing and while touching the ball on every play they are to blame, NOT the Pats. I'm a Cowboys fan this is not because of NE love, this is my opinion.
About my Superbowl bet, I really don't see how I can bet anything other than the Seahawks but I'm still waiting I think the line will be NE -3.5 and then I can go for it.
