The Zion debut game

Spurs all day...Zion will mess up the Pelicans chemistry...That if is does play significant minutes, which he most likely will not...The pelicans will be focused on getting him shots and lobs etc...ruining there rhythm...

Man.... I want to pick the spurs but this game got bad vibes written all over it. 

We rarely see a rookie come in there first game and win. I think we could see that here. 

Vegas already giving a little respect on the line here for the pelicans. Money will be on spurs here. We got nothing but time for this game.

Zion props are interesting 

Looks like points are 12.5 heavily juiced or 13.5, rebounds at 5.5, points+rebounds+assists at 19.5...

If he plays 20-23mins, scores 13 points and had 5-6 rebounds how does that impact the outcome of this game... Not too much, except if half of that production is in the 4th quarter..

I personally think he will score more than 12.5-13.5pts... 

Also, the crowd and team will be absolutely juiced up so beyond Zion impact its the energy that we have to consider... -3.5 bought to -3 feels like a decent bet. Spurs at +4 short of the Zion factor would be the play but alas, we have the Zion factor front and center

League had enough of spurs for last 2 decades and in this current season they are not really showing any signs of life on other hand there is Zion who is basically second coming of Lebron to NBA and the media, I would expect ref whistles to heavily favour Pelicans 

This is horrible reasoning the Cavs were a bad team with Lebron in his first year.  This Pelicans team is way better.  They have injuries coming into the game, but I think they blowout the Spurs who aren't that good on the road.

Well what does Lebron covering with a bad team years ago have to do with this game....Nothing.  Home team that's playing well at the moment have their rookie superstar (hopefully for the Pelicans) going to start his first game against a below average road team.  Don't you not think management is trying to put Zion in the best position to succeed in his first game.

Zion has not played a real game in like 10 months....Summer league does not count....There is a reason why teams have training camps and pre-season games and the regular season is long...It takes time for players to get chemistry.....Zion will most likely hurt the Pelicans than help the Pelicans in his 1st game back....There will be nerves and rust. 

Star 1st game back.  You know the rule.... fade... spurs 

This isn’t just about Zion tho. This is about the pelicans core.. Brandon Ingram, jrue holiday, London ball Derrick favors who can rebound and play solid defense and now adding Zion who’s gonna be grabbing some offensive boards due to his explosiveness. Don’t forget the pelicans have a solid bench too.. no disrespect to the spurs.. but the pelicans push to the 7th-8th starts now. Dropping 4 units pelicans -3.5. 

You guys are acting like Zion is gonna be the main ball distributer and scorer as if the pelicans need that desperately. We all know who the number 1 guy is on the roster and that’s Brandon Ingram. I’ve yet to see many players stop Brandon Ingram when he has the ball in his hands and nobody on the spurs can do that defensively. What Zion is bringing to the table is another wing threat and energy.
