Well, I am on Indiana -7.5 and it does not look good in overtime at the moment. Looks like double overtime or bust.
Further, buying two points on a line and laying -145 in the process is never easy money.....seems foolish no matter the sport, the teams or the day of the week.

Wow. I wish I paid that much in taxes. People complain about paying taxes but paying taxes mean you're making money.
Just my two cents. NEVER buy points. EVER. It's a bad bet ALWAYS. Why do you think the books encourage it? It's like the dealers working in the pits at the craps table....."get your hard ways, horns and yo bets in". Why do they shout that? Point made.

Hitting the 16 in blackjack is the correct move. Buying points on a sports bet is giving money away.
Assume you buy a line from 4.5 to 4. Your juice goes from -110 to -120.
Thus, your game needs to land on the 4 in EXCESS of 10% of the time. When you buy 2 points as you did today, you need to land in the sweet spot (between a 7-9 point Indiana win) 50% of the time to make money. You really don't need to google that do you?
