5% of bankroll seams pretty reasonable. I think a lot of guys do 2.5%. Question, however: when you add units to a wager aren’t you really upping the % bet? Ex.: 2 units means you’re betting 10%, 3 units means you’re betting 15%, etc.
i suppose it means you win larger, but you also lose larger.

I calculate 5% of my bank roll. Multiply that by my unit number. That total is what I bet to win.
Example.
1,000 bankroll.
(-110) odds. 2 units would be.
5% of 1,000= 50 × 2 = 100. That is what I would bet to win.
Riking 110 to win 100.
