This thread confirms everything I needed to read. AMD has it right. The -1 to +1 line move is one of the most reliable in basketball. Always take the original fav who has become a dog in those line movements. If it goes to -2 that's another story but it wont.
Make today great!

interesting.....im really 50/50 on this one,amd...any chance you can give any xtra insight on it??you just feel they will rise and do wat they have to do with season on the line and everything at stake??...i lean slightly to them disintegrating badly if put in a hole early with all the turmoil they been suffering coming to the surface once more...but love to hear opposing view, cheers
also, not sure if you just cap wat you see with your own eyes,or believe in "other forces" and ulterior motives at work in deciding out-comes of series in this crazy league so that cud play a huge part in your thinking possibly??
Thanks for the post. As for capping games, I dont have a formula for any sport that I cap. In most instances, I cap the matchup from an x/o perspective and I cap what is current as opposed to what has occurred, previously.. I'm also pretty instinctive so I consider the matchup along with a little intuition and more times than not, it brings me to the correct conclusion. Im not one to consider trends or theories as each game has its own set of variables from the the next so the "zig zag" theory, for example, doesnt mean much to me. I don't watch, read or listen to any sports media so Im generally not influenced by any outside factors when wagering. The sports media are a bunch of retardss anyway, you and I know more about whats happening than those dumb fukks. As well, I try to have a short memory when capping as a team is only as good or bad as their last game. Often, we let a series or a previous game influence our decision regarding a current wager. I see this all the time here on Covers. Stats can be considered trendy but some stats shouldnt be overlooked. I have a set of variables that I use in regards to statistics specifically for basketball and it has been proven to be a useful tool for me. Same goes for when capping football. Youve used the term, "turmoil" to describe the Pacers. Turmoil is a term we use that has been created by the media. There hasn't been any greater turmoil than that of the Clippers organization and, yet, theyre leading the series. Don't pay attention to the nonsense, cap the game and use your experience as a gambler to allow you to understand any psychological dynamic thats involved with a particular wager. As for tonights game, most would say that the Pacers have tremendous pressure on them and the Hawks are playing with nothing to lose. Bullshitt. The Hawks do NOT want to go back to Indiana for game 7. Tonights game is Game 7 for both teams because Indiana is not losing at home on Friday.

Neither team has won back to back games in the series. Indiana have won 6 of the last 8 quarters (yet 1-1 in those games). They actually won 3 of 4 quarters last game and still lost game.
You don't see that often, unless of course the winning team had a monstrous quarter like Hawks did.
Pacers is a good play tonight
I hope the posters havent overlooked your post

what's going on is a potentially better team with a gun to their head's...did you doubters take the Celtics at home vs LeBron in game 6, 2 years ago? Did you also take the Sharks the last 4 games?
Did you sell your Apple stock at $385.00?
