He doesn't owe *anything* *to anyone* - therefore getting into arguments with *anyone* over *anything* that upsets him is pointless. You don't get boxed for being off on your record (as much as that can ruffle feathers of people who spend 60 hours a week on an internet forum), but you do for being obnoxious little shits.
