I'm a newbie at sports betting, just started a few months back. Then I started hearing and reading a lot about how games are fixed. That somehow changed my perspective on things. Just like the others, I would sometimes go against the public due to "talks" of Vegas winning it all.
Along came LAC+7.5@MEM Game 7. Everybody was saying shit about how Vegas would want you to bet on LAC, and they'd let MEM win. I went with MEM, and I lost bigtime.
I realized, Hey, I won a lot more when I knew nothing about games being fixed. That time, I went with the obvious choice, and I won more than I lost.
I used that same mentality tonight with the spurs. SAS just -5 against LAC? Please.
Turns out I won.
Perhaps games really are fixed. But you know what? Only gamblers know that. Most gamblers would go against the obvious choice, thinking Vegas is gonna fuck them. In turn, all the cash is on the non-favorite's side. That's when Vegas really fucks us.
So to those who think games are fixed, THANK YOU!
