Not a bad idea. My only concern is Coinbase is launching their own NFT platform and just announced last week that they are now the top crypto platform for NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball. Top shots still has some upside but i'm curious to see what Coinbase's NFT platform does to Topshots overall

Are NFT's a selfish creation by all the original shady bitcoiners to launder their crypto and find a way to execute an end game strategy to get out before it all falls apart?
The concept of NFT's is beyond comprehension to me.

I have 102 moments and 6 unopened packs. Been collecting since April.
1. What's the best packs to buy - Any pack you can get your hands on since they are hard to come by. For example, today had a Legendary WNBA drop but only 2k of them available with over 15k lined up trying to get one.
2. Any point in holding on to commons - Collector score to be eligible for future pack drops and queues. Also, collect ones you like so that you can always have moments that at least you enjoy. Otherwise commons are a good way to build up your collector score.
3. I pre-ordered a D.Wade moments pack should be able to open it on the 29th, been looking around what's best-case scenario with this pack? - No predictions yet but collectors could reserve up to 3 of these. I reserved all 3. Opening the pack will make you eligible for some other fandom moments and just a good old school moment to have.
There is a discord you can join that gives great info and has a good community involved. Also, sign up for 3rd party sites like LiveToken.co which will sync your account up to NBA Top Shot and keep track of additional details/value of all your moments.
Top Shot has about 500k people signed up so there is a huge potential for growth with the # of NBA/WBNA fans out there. It's still in BETA so there is work to be done with the site and pack drops but all in all I'm a huge fan and definitely recommend it as a great way to venture into the NFT space.

Been collecting since February have a few nice moments. Sold a haliburton for $2500 and then bought another one a few months later with a higher serial number for a $1000 and now it is going for $300. The floor dropped considerably on series two. Hopefully with nba back in full swing the price will go back up again.

More so a path to turn their crypto into larger amounts of crypto.
Think of it as being no different from sports cards or memorabilia. Collectors invest with the intention to sell at a higher price later on.

after doing a ton of reading over the last day it's not quite what it's made out to be. it appears on the surface to be "no different from sports cards or memorabilia". Unfortunately there is a huge difference...
if you and I walk in to a store, and I've got 50$ on me to buy cards and you've got $500, we BOTH have a chance at pulling a great card. You would obviously have an increased chance of hitting because you have spent $500 and I've only spent $50, but we both have a chance. With topshot lower end players aren't even given a chance to buy packs. you need to build up your "collector score" in order to qualify, and the only way to do that is spend money.
A while ago they put out LIMITED (only 2000) legendary packs, this is written under the pack art..."This top-tier, limited-edition pack is available first exclusively to our fan panel and early adopters." So a group of big spenders and early investors get access to these packs and the rest of us don't...I'm not giving up on topshot, as I still have a lot of research I want to do, but I don't like what I'm seeing so far...

They only thing you have as a new collector is getting lucky and pulling a player number card or extremely high serial number or a common or uncommon card. You can buy individuals card on market as a hunch and resell for more later if lucky.
but you are right once they instituted the collector new collectors have no shot at rare or legendary packs.

I disagree, as more people come on board the demand for these common cards will surely go up as people late to the party will surely want to complete as many challenges as possible, and to do so you need to accumulate commons from the same team. Just hold on to whatever you get.
