The game between Thunder and Warriors tomorrow which should be a very entertaining one, has the total set at 231.5! Wtf. What a joke this league has become. Back in the day when 2 great teams faced eachother you set the total low because you knew it was going to be a war and each point scored will have to be earned. Nowadays...well it's a joke.
I digress, who has the guts to take the under between these 2 teams that can score at will? Even at 231.5 I wouldn't touch the under.
I see a 125-112 score for the Warriors.

58 per QTR..That's really not out of the ordinary .....Average is about 50 in my eyes in any game these days....when I see like 42 or less that's a low QTR....like 56+ is a high QTR.....
They could easily put up a 70pt QTR to make up for a 50pt QTR.....120 at half is not out of the question....

Right unstoppable. I can see 120 at the half. Warriors put up 120 on the Spurs D. They can do the same to that soft defense of Thunder. As for Thunder, they won't be held to 90 like the Spurs were.

I keep backtracking though. 58 points a quarter is a torrid pace to keep up. Who says we will see a 70 point q? Aside from Durant and Westbrook, who will keep up the scoring? I can't wait for this game.

That game was an anomaly son. Warriors didn't take Washington seriously nor should they. Against teams they perceive as a threat to them however little, they play tough defense. (held Spurs to 90 points and locked down on Cavs too)
Durant and Westbrook will get theirs but doubt Thunder as a whole keep up.

Both teams can score, yes. However, I don't think you know what an ongoing crazy pace it has to be to go over 231. It can be an extremely high scoring game and still go under. Warriors tough Defense and Ibaka for Thunder will ensure it creeps under.

Exactly. Vegas knows the masses are getting their panties in a twist getting ready to grab some beers and settle in to watch a high scoring and exciting game between 2 offensive powerhouse teams. So what does Vegas do? Put a total of 231 up there knowing the hype surrounding the game will make the public jump on the over no matter what.

If you want to sit there hoping for a 134 spot from a team, even the Warriors then good luck. Don't forget this is a potential playoff matchup. Unlike Warriors vs Washington or Thunder's recent opponents, this time there's a reason to play tough defense. Believe it or not Thunder is very capable of playing defense they just choose not to cause they're cocky and outscore opponents. We all know Warriors defense is as tough as nails when it wants to be. That doesn't always get noticed by the public given how flashy and prolific their offense is.

That's the problem. Most people here think they want to win money but deep inside they just want action especially on marquee matchups/televised games. Vegas knows this so they set a sky high total knowing the public will stay bite on the over like it's a freshly made pepperoni pizza.
People are going to be having an ulcer everytime there's a missed shot or stretches of tough D, Curry missing some 3's he usually makes, Ibaka making some blocks, the benches stinking it up and other reasons for a slow down in scoring.
People won't get the math until they start watching the game and think oh crap! 231? What did I do?
It doesn't help that a lot of us just watched Warriors and Wizards put up like 240 combined. I watched that game. Curry was on fire! (I know when isn't he but this was uncanny and rare even for him)

BACK IN THE DAY you didn't roll out the red carpet for lay ups. Every basket was earned. It's a joke nowadays. Harden, Irving,Lebron etc wouldn't be the so called stars they are now.

I've watched many many Warriors games this season. I will admit they are insanely proficient on offense especially Curry. Even Thompson when he gets going. Getting back to Curry, he's such a threat to score from anywhere beyond the arc and he's so good at driving when he wants that he demands attention from so many opposing players which sets up Curry's teammates. Curry in my opinion is the best player in the game today. I don't know why Lebron proclaimed himself to be. It's a joke. He can't shoot and he doesn't make his teammates better.
Warriors are a delight to watch on offense I give you that.
Even the mighty Spurs D couldn't stop them.

Lebron lol . it was so sweet for Golden State to smash them again. even got Blatt fired. Funny thing they lost 2 in a row lol who is to blame now? lol I understand completely what you are saying and it can certainly go way under. I just cant bet a Under when Golden State plays a real good Offense.

In any case, going to be one helluva game. I think Thunder do a better job of hanging with Warriors than Spurs did. Westbrook and Durant going to be amped up.
