Curry had glass ankles. Was constantly injured. It was thought that he would be an injury prone player the rest of his career.

That obviously did not happen.

This thread was probably made during one Trae Young's playoff outbursts. Luka is the better player, but both Dallas and Atlanta made out okay. Both got pretty good players.

Neither of them is better than Curry at the moment, and likely never will be. But both are probably better than Curry was at this point in their careers.

The debate was at the same age and even back then it became clear that Doncic was the clear answer so it became more a debate about Curry and Trae.

How can you say that when Trae will have more playoff wins than Doncic by a 3-1 margin? Legends are made in the playoffs, not the regular season. Your pillsbury doughboy of basketball hasn’t accomplished s h I t in the playoffs.

Hey, I wrote in this thread earlier this year that Steph is better.  But after seeing Trae in the playoffs the past two years, I'm changing my mind.  Steph had difficulty with consistency in the playoffs early in his career.  Trae is a killer.  Tonight's game speaks for itself.

Oh, and Delon Wright's defense was the second most impressive part of the game.  And the springy Okongwu was the third (oddly, Atlanta caught a break when Capella injured himself.

Can always rely on you for objectivity in this forum. Trae shines when the pressure is on and lights are brightest, that counts for a lot in my book. More than regular season wins or stats. Reggie Miller got to be a top 75 player just based on the clutch gene. Trae is a lot more than that. When Luca finally wins a series, then we will talk. 

BtW, your observations about Capella are dead on. It opened things up for the Hawks and allowed Trae to take over.

i think it is fair to say that any reasonable person on planet earth accepts that yes of course doncic is and has been better than trae and also that curry now is and has been overall better than trae by a strong margin...those things arent really up for debate.but,as you kind of point out,nuance and reading is hard
