What was once a, "Knicks in 5, 6 at worst!" from Knicks fans, looks like it has been turned on it's head. A rockin' TD Garden with a galvanized, playoff-tested, veteran Celtics team will feed off every ounce of emotion from that city.
Suddenly their first playoff win in 13 seasons isn't the walk in the park it appeared to be.
Even the Heat wouldn't want to play the Celtics right now who have national and international support by default.
It'll be interesting to see the lines for these games and what is likely to be some lines driven down in the Knicks favor because of this, at least for Celtics home games.

To add to the above about Miami, that is the Heat as a #1 seed being thrown a lower seed bone like the Bucks in the first round, and instead they would get major wear and tear in an extended series and intense media focus for what should be business as usual.
That is what is awaiting the Knicks and the #2 seed they earned.

Boston is terrible, do you watch the NBA? I'll say it, Knicks vs Boston will be a walk in the park for the Knicks.
Boston is a completely different team in the playoffs. They execute and play defense. The knicks give the ball to Melo and JR and tell them to go. Knicks can have the green light and shoot stupid shots in the regular season, but in the playoffs when every possession counts I can't see them being so trigger happy as they usually are. Their shooters will be hesitant and JR will not be as good as he's been.
Not to mention Doc Rivers is a genius so you know his gameplan is going to be on point.
It will be a good series, but Boston should take it in 6.

The Yanks lost the World Series in 2001. They won the World Series from 1997-2000. Hmmm. Maybe the 9/11 tragedy made the Yanks play worse.
IMO, the Boston bombing tragedy might fuel the C's with a bit more adrenaline for a game or so. But that's about it. KG, Pierce, Jason Terry and other C's get plenty of motivation from the playoffs.
