Jazz +5 game 2 ($1,500)

Paul George, Abrines, and Corey Brewer combined for 56 points. Very tough to replicate that amount of scoring with those 3. Jazz played well, OKC just hit shots. This line will go down

Game one all the calls to Russ and the Thunder. Russ almost blew the cover though giving the ball up three times late in the game while up double digits and letting the Jazz come storming back.

Jazz had more FT attempts then OKC, not by alot but they had more up untill  Jazz fouled intentionally late in the game.

OKC shot lights out from 3 pt land. if they do that then they can be dangerous but not very likely this dreadfull shooting team can sustain such strong shooting. 

It would be far more luck then skill if they did. They made a number of shots just thrown up counting on luck basically.

Likely to reverse next game.

OKC Had 23 FT attempts, Jazz 20, but at least 6 FT attempts that I saw paying attention to those came on intentional fouls late in the game, not sure if there could have been more before I was paying attention.

Jazz were up 20 to 17 in FT attempts  at least before intentional fouls were called , close but hardly OKC getting the calls.

However I will give you the benefit of the doubt as OKC was making everything on 3's and the refs did not need to call fouls to help OKC if they were indeed interested in doing such.

Game 1 as FT attempts slightly favored Jazz but OKC did not need help of refs.

Nothing can be learned from this game.

People pulling out regular season efficiency stats and what not. 

No Wesbrook is better than rubio, Paul George better than Donovan Mitchell, Melo better than favors.(Adams and Gobert even) And the gap even bigger in the playoffs. 

Not a chance Donovan mitchell is not leading the Jazz to a series win. He is a rookie, im tired of reading how he great he is like he is some superstar. Kid doesnt even have his first playoff win yet. My money is rolling on the thunder

I love this thread because we have purists and ones who believe SOLELY in analytics going up against ones who feel there is more to games than just analytics. Neither side will budge as expected and that’s what makes capping sooooo interesting in this forum. Ratings, money, hidden agendas, league agendas, tv contracts, endorsements and the books should all be taken into consideration big picture when dealing with leagues that generate billions because of what I lost above. I won’t even get started on how the media feeds the public. Good luck to all in here as I feel we’ll see some surprises as this postseason progresses.

Jazz won FT battle big in game 2, 33 to 18, some of which could be intentional fouls at the end of game as Jazz had the lead.

I did not see the game so don't know but very likely Jazz once again had more FT attempts before the intentional fouls began.

Game 2 was much different then game 1 in that OKC needed help from the refs and DID NOT GET IT even at home where the home teams tend to get more calls.

But maybe the league wanted a more exciting series so they will wait to help OKC when it really matters.

Hey trying to give crash every benefit of the doubt.

Jazz the better team and likely will win game 3 getting more FT attempts as home teams usually do and the  more aggressive, better teams do as well.


Jazz gain control of series, now they need to hold home court and likely win in 6 games.

I think PG is staying, OKC has the money to offer him a lucrative deal. He likes playing with Russ, despite the fact they are about to get bounced in the 1rst round
