Game 1 win at a line of -4.....then they were getting 6.5????
___________
Yeah, all the Portland chasers are driving the line up. Is that so hard to understand?
Truth is, no way David Stern wants this series done in 4.
__________
TRUTH: The Spurs dispatched of the LeBrons in FOUR STRAIGHT games in the NBA finals just a couple years ago. You're making this stuff up as you go. Please stop with the conspiracies.

Nobody is saying that the refs can determine an outcome on their own. If the T-Blaze dont play better, they'll certainly get their asses handed to them... again. But I'm expecting the Blazers to play much better; and not expecting the Rockets to play quite as well.
AND If you guys believe that just a few 50/50 calls in favor of one team has no affect, then more power to you. If thats a perspective that your purist hearts & minds choose to reject, then who am I to call you out for narrow-mindedness.
David Stern doesnt want to see this series (or any phukin series) end in 4. He wants them all to go 7! Can anybody argue with that statement? Deny that fact.... that "Truth".
Did he want San Antonio to sweep a green, LeBron led Cavs squad.... of course not. It doesnt take a rocket scientist (no pun intended) to make that statement. The power of the beast is too strong sometimes. Does he want LA or Cavs to sweep their 1st round series?.... I doubt it. Will they?.... its likely.
I dont see the same discrepancy in talent between the Rockets and Blazers. I do see the matchup issues; the experience issues; and that one team is so much more built for playoffs ala NBA. But, I believe that this Blazers team is capable of winning one of four... one at home; and, just a smidgen of "home cooking" might just push em over the top of that spread.
I could be wrong. Have before and will be again. As certain as death and taxes. Wont surprise me one bit to bet on the Blazers... and to lose.
An of course ya'll are right.... there's never been any evidence of wrong-doing by officials at any level...
I'm just a bent conspiracy theorist. Is there a good psychotherapist in the house?.

I get what you're saying, but to imply that Stern is going to somehow have an effect on how long this series goes is nuts. If it were that easy, he'd do it all the time. Just another attempt from people to try and offer explanation for something they maybe don't have an answer for (ie. why to make a play on Portland tonight).

Even though Portland is as the Commish dubs them a "model franchise" , he's too busy wacking off to the inevitable Cavs/Lakers finals and trying to figure out a way to rig the draft lottery so Blake Griffin ends up in Oklahoma City to really give a shit about fixing this game.

agreed
definitely nuts.
didnt mean to imply myself that Stern "would make the call" and it'd be done .... more that theres an implicit understanding- perhaps to give the home team, hoping to extend their playoff lives, a few extra of them 50/50 calls.
