Tell you what, I wasn't really even looking at this game until my friend called me with the stats. Now the more I think about it, I really do see a 8-12 point Celtics win here. All the talk about the Celtics are old and can't play anymore. I believe they have more than enough motivation to teach the youngsters a thing or 2. Other than Durant & westbrook, there is no one that is going to kill them. Celtics or no play, and I am starting to really like the OVER a lot now too.
I think your comments are very good, and you may be right with your pick. I never use trends only to pick games, but ones like these have been cash money all season. My POM are 5-2 for 70 units profit this year and all but 1 was based on these types of numbers. I did lose the other one.
In regards to rebounding, you said it yourself, it was the 76ers so you can't be too excited about what you saw. The celtics the last 2 times they played OKL., out rebounded them 40-30 & 48-36. Coincedentaly, in the Thunder loss to Portland on Sunday, the Thunder outrebounded them & lost. Should be a decent game, but I really feel that this game will be close to over by middle of the 3rd qtr. Good luck buddy.....

Celtics -3 (20 units) POM (just had this one handed to me with an unbelievable winning % in a different system). I am digging into the game, but have already layed the 20 units. I may add 15-20 more depending on a couple of stats. Play it or fade it, gl.....
Great analysis AJ - I appreciate all the insight. B/c everyone is talking about Boston/OKL I will add my 2 sense.
B/c trends have already been discussed I will just focus on playoff position. Boston has a huge lead in the atlantic and thus has the 3 seed locked up(still don't agree with how they give division leaders better seeding than teams with better records but that's another story). They will be resting pierce and garnett as they really don't have much to play for in my opinion.
Okl - is currently in 6th but only 2 games from 4th and playing at home especially for a young team is very important in the playoffs. I think they will be very hungry. They are also 1 game from the 8th spot and I'm sure they do not want to play the Lakeshow who have the best home record in the west.
Just some food for thought as I'm staying away from this game. I like the mavs tonight fwiw...BOL to all.

The playoffs begin next week. Every team that is making the playoffs is trying to get inito a rhythym so they go in hitting on all cylinders. You may get some rest this weekend and be a little more cautious with injuries, but no one is "lay-down" mode.
Losing in sports is contagious and can lead to bad streaks. I don't think there is any team out there that can turn it on & off right now. Boston has struggled at home all year, and needs to play their last weeks sched. to get ready.
Does all of this add up to a Celtics win? Who knows? But taking a Thunder team who has been OWNED by the C's the last few years, when Boston seems to be a wounded dog, is a scary prop. for anyone. All the best to all of you, & I can only hope for a nice return on my $2200 investment.

Agreed AJ - Good luck tonight. I'll be rooting for all you guys who have the celtics as I didn't touch it.
I do disagree that no team can turn it on/off - I think the Lakers can. Personally I think Phil Jackson likes when his team has a little adversity nearing the playoffs and he always has to add a little fuel with comments he always seems to make around playoff time.
