Why are proven coaches with winning records getting fired right before the playoffs start?

what a sad product the nba has become. Michael Malone coached a championship team and they were the 4th seed in the west.

Is the nba about to go through a reset and blow teams that were contenders up? Something is up.. I think the league is about to face a hard cap desicion.

Management and Owners are just probably frustrated from high expectations and low performance with their teams right now. West Conference standing is very brittle as of the moment, you lose 2 of your remaining 3-4 games then you go from top 6 spot to a play in spot. Early of the season nobody expected OKC and Houston to dominate the west that shook things up for Denver. Now they lost 3 or 4 games straight and scratching for a spot in the top 6, and I think they will continue to lose until the regular season is over. At the end of the day NBA teams are just part of corporate America.

why are you surprised...denver used to be more dominante in recent years...you dont think they fell off a lil this year? i mean they did have a lot of injuries through out the season but stilll. 

good spot to get fired. doesnt have a lot of adversity on the resume. is off the hook for whatever happens come playoffs & can go fishing all summer, come back to a fresh new job elsewhere.

 Four of last 6 NBA championship coaches fired. Coach of the year always seems get fired within year or two. I’ve watched maybe 4 NBA games all year. Been a Cavs fan since Price Daugherty days, and honestly not even excited. Even the crap NFL still always lures me back in. Guess I’ll just keep watching old NBA highlight videos if I need my NBA fix. But if you still like it I’m happy for you.
