Dan Gilbert, as an NBA owner, was so out of line with his letter it was ridiculous. He represents his organization. This from a guy whose company loans money to homebuyers at a 25% clip.  That's why David Stern fined him 100K. He made MILLIONS from Lebron James being under contract and now that his cash cow is gone, he's crying. Grow up and get over it. This is sports in the 21st century!

The last sentence : GROW UP AND GET OVER IT!!! THIS IS SPORTS IN THE 21ST CENTURY!!!!

Exactly!!! SO why are we trying to portray a feel-sorry being treated like a slave mentality for one of th emost spoiled richest athletes ever to walk the face of the earth!!! Lebron left Cleveland and in the process cost Gilbert TONS of $$$$$$. Did Lebron have a right to leave?? ABSOLUTELY!!! Did Gilbert go overboard and act like a drunk fan at a bar??? ABSOLUTELYYYY

But like you said, this is 21st century sports!!! Lebron knew he'd be HAMMERED by everyone in Cleveland for leaving but now since its thw owner hammering him we gotta go protect him cuz we cant have a white man disrespecting a black man in public!!! Thats just an outrage!!!!!

For the record Gilbert went wayyyy overboard for a man in his position but racist??? slave??? How come noone called Gilbert a racist when he was bending over backwards for this guy. Typical race card carrying jackson. Just blame the white man for everything and expect the world to feel sorry for us just because were black. talk about regression

A guy who has had EVERY door and EVERY opportunity stuck right in front of his face his whole life and youre applauding him being compared to a slave.

Get out in the real world bud, really. Ive heard tidbits here and there about your ignorance but have never really seen it up close before and I must say, WOW.

Like I said, get out in the real world someday pal and maybe, just maybe you'll get a clue, but its doubtful

My ignorance is your intelligence, speaking of which I could fit in a thimble.

James actually had little to no opportunity before Nike handed him an obscene sneaker contract, born of a teenage mother with few resources and a abridged education, hopping from one housing project to another before the corporate construct (all documented), that being the American free market, latched (more apropos to say 'leeched') onto his unparalleled ability and physical endowments and marketed him to the masses to sell $80-$125 kicks to white suburbanites and inner city youths who might not have food stamps but most certainly must be brainwashed into believing their shoes will help them vault from the ghetto (Karl Malone's catapult's anyone?).

No, Mr. James could have been another street corner statistic, and absent modern grace and good mannerisms, I agree he left the city that adored him like pimp walking away from a cheap hooker in the gutter, but he was well within his right to do so...

And Jesse J. knew very well, having been an integral part of the Civil Rights movement and an underling of the one and only MLK Jr., something your teacher might belch in the the middle of history class after a morning bran muffin and a medium cup of decaf but elaborate no further, that Dan Gilbert's rage stemmed not only from abandonment but had a great deal to do with the hue of the skin involved as well, and rightly pointed it out, in addition to summoning up slave master/slave comparisons that cowards like yourself wince at.

Perhaps a proverbial, "Fuck you" to the owner wasn't the most civil way to depart for Lebron.

    BUT

A "Fuck you" to end this post from me to you will do just fine...

Talk about having some inside hate towards the white man. Youre 10X more racist than the people you cry about. EVERYTHING with you when involving a white person/black person relationship will somehow and always end up with the black man being wronged in your opinion somehow. You talk about Lebrons upbringing like its a sob story and you expect us to feel sorry for him, thats where its obvious youve never spent an hour in the real world.

Also, like always, you have no problem with Lebrons proverbial "Fuck you" but when a white man says "Fuck you" back then its racist. Like I said, youre the racist, making everything some hidden agenda against the black man. Youre a really dude, a pretty big loser actually for believing this garbage you spin. You have and never will amount to anything in life with this attitude, and no, a degree and a 50k/yr job doesnt qualify. Well for the lack of intelligence you possess, thatd actually be a miracle.

What a complete loser you are. Unreal

Unreal

You know one last thing and then you can respond and talk to yourself all day and night

Obama is president which means "for the most part" racism has come a long way to say the least and that this country is more racially friendly (or many less racists in plain english) than in years past. I think this cannot be argued by anyone. Does that mean things are "fine and dandy?" No not at all, but hardly the way you partray them where every white man is just "out to get them."

My point is this. Theres racists on both sides of the coin nowadays and, in my opinion, you cannot say theres more white "racists" in America today than black ones. There are so many racists like yourself who point out any and everything they can (most when its not even there) and try and make it a racial stab in your back. Yet, you have absolutely no issue whatsover when a white man gets wronged by a black man because you feel the white man is "owed" because of his indescencies in the past. That makes you a racist, not an intellect as you feel. You feel two wrongs make a right + then try and act intelligent, go figure.

If Lebron was white and Gilbert was black and THE EXACT SAME THING WENT DOWN you'd be talking about how LeBron left cuz he didnt want to play for a black owner and how sorry we should all feel for Gilbert. You can try to say you wouldnt, but you would pal. Thats just how guys like you roll, as youre sitting at the bus stop.

    Good luck bud
