For me, I was a freshman in high school, and I knew a man who could turn in bets for me....but, more importantly, he knew we had a little money......well, I got like $200 behind (very large), and I kept doubling on the same team.....probably the Yankees. After they lost about 4 nights in a row, and I was over $2000 in the hole, he pulled up on me......wisely I might add.
I had to tell Dad. After I set him up with some oncoming big debt news (because he knew I played the sports a little-----we even played in small poker games together with family friends), his 1st guess, in a disgusting tone, was $400!!!!
That was definitely the highest I EVER gambled.
