Will he be the greatest of all time? I know theres MJ fans out there that refuse to admit it.  But if he does that's 3 titles with Cavs Heat Lakers.  Plus he has to get past the tough West .

And no Robert Horry is not the greatest of all time for those that claim Horry should be Goat because he has like what 8 rings?

Im not a huge LeBron fan..….but with his current age compared to MJ when Jordan was at this age I think its a fair statement. Especially having to defeat the warriors to reach the finals

Don't worry, he ain't winning the title with this Lakers team, his run of trips to the NBA Finals just ended.

Unless they can sign other big time players like Kawhi maybe he would have a shot, but with this Laker team he won't beat the Rockets let-alone the Warriors.

The Goat.... nope,  that is and still will be MJ.

By the way, if he did win with the Lakers he'd have 4 titles.

LeBron didn't make this decision to win championships. He knows that. Everyone knows that. He is done reaching Finals. He wants to shorten his season now as age catch up.

Lakers are not even guarantee to pass first round. This isn't the East.

LeBron made this decision thinking of his future. Businessman, movies? Producing? Acting?.

    That's why he made it.

I won't be surprised if E! hires him and his wife and make another "Kardashian" bull***it series about their life 24-7.

Never forget - Magic won't admit this....but when MJ started winning titles, he felt dissed by the public.  Even without the AIDS issue, MJ was the darling.  Magic won 5 titles in 9 trips to the Finals, reshaped the point guard position....and is never in the GOAT discussion.

NOTHING would make Magic happier than to have LBJ win a title in L.A. - in order to encourage the GOAT question a bit more.

PDouble...There is no hate but the comparisons to Jordan need to stop.   3rd time to a new team to create a super team to win a Championship.   When the going gets tough...LBJ bails...Would have more respect for him if he stayed in Cleveland....  You Homers are hilarious....It went from winning titles to match MJ to now if he can make the Finals..he will be GOAT.  LOL...Sure he is a top 5 all time great but jumping around to different teams is a loser to me.

I’m not a lebron lover at all

I just know how to make money ... some of you guys can’t see past the end of your nose

Not a LBJ lover?  ...You chased the Cavs in the Finals...You got a terrible line for the Cavs to win the ECF as I pointed out.  You won but barely...You chased pretty much every Cavs game.  Now you are chasing the Fakers.  If you say so

Impossible....They are capped out...If Kawhi is making $20 Million...Then $20 million needs to go out to bring Kawhi in...even if they stretch Deng a portion of it counts against the cap.  And No..Spurs are not taking Randle...If they wanted him..they could make a qualifying offer for him right now and force the Fakers to tie up their Cap hold to match...

You better get used to nothing but losers (like Babe Ruth, Steve Jobs, Charles Woodson, Wayne Gretzky, etc reallyhappy) because mobility is going to increase in all sports.  Without mobility, it's doubtful that the Warriors would have won the past 2 years or the Eagles this year.

Btw, MJ was the ultimate believer in mobility.  an_laughHe went to another SPORT for his own "selfish" purpose....and then later to another NBA team for an even MORE selfish purpose (remember him in that weird blue Wizards uniform?)

Space Jam 2 is scheduled to come out in 2019... This seems like the perfect script to have LA beat GS in the WCF and then Boston in the Finals... GS = The Monstars and LA = Looney Tunes... When the first Space Jam came out, MJ won a title the same year... When Space Jam 2 comes out, LBJ will win a title the same year..  I expect Leonard to get traded to LA at some point this off season or during the season before the trading deadline.. Or maybe another star player gets traded to LA

Do you read what you write?  First you say " jumping around to different teams is a loser to me.", then you say " Nothing wrong with leaving for other teams...You just can't make an argument for his legacy..thats all."

So what is it?  And as for someone that moves to another team looking for a championship not possibly being a GOAT.....what about Gretzky?  Ruth?

Btw, I'm not a homer for LBJ.  I think the jury is out.  But the "Loyalty" issue is sports is tired and not really applicable to Greatness.  It's a "nice" attribute, but not a requirement.

The thread title says...if he wins a title with the Fakers will he be considered GOAT.  I replied...that LBJ when the going get's tough bails out on his teams and goes to another team to create super teams and chase titles.  Other LBJ homers are stating  he went to L.A for family/Business.  Sure part of it..but the main reason is they are trying to create a super team w/Kawhi.  So when the comparisons of GOAT come up as the thread of the title states...my point is how can you consider LBJ GOAT when he changed teams 3 times all to chase titles....There is no loyalty in sports but when matching resumes with Jordan...LBJ switching teams 3 times is weak.

For the record, Jordan is the goat according to me and thats my right...however with all due respect, MJ also quit on his own team to go play baseball, although we will truly never know what was his real reason behind that time in his life with his dads murder and his own gambling debts...just imagine if we had todays media back then, im sure the truth would have eventually been discovered.

Jordan retired in his prime of a B2B2B...They could of won 8 straight had he not retired..LBJ leaving the Cavs the 1st time is understandable...But leaving Miami off a Finals defeat...Leaving Cleveland off a Finals defeat from a team in which he has his fingerprints all over...Love/TT/JR...Chasing away Kyrie.

Lebron according to saber metrics takes into account his current age and established performance to calculate or assess the likely hood of reaching a statistical milestone. What you will find is pretty good case for GOAT.  Lebron still has more room to bolster his case at the age of 33 because if he keeps up this pace as a laker I dont see why he will not be the GOAT.
