LBJ will pass Magic in every NBA statistical category "including: career ASSISTS.
Wierd thing, is he will also pass Jordan and Kobe in EVERY statistical category yet folks want to REWARD magic for playing with better teammates (Kareem, Worthy, Wilkes, even Perkins, Mcadoo, etc..etc)....and Kobe too is rewarded for playing with Shaq's power...Gasol skill....even Bynum #2 center....etc..etc......PHIL JACKSON coaching is also something LBJ did not benefit from nor did he have Pat Riley coaching him either.......so folks all things are not even with this TEAM comparisons
LBJ finally played with some legit talent last year and this year....and gets to Finals both years
folks, LBJ may live in the Finals the next not 1 not 2 not 3....
years now that he too is playing with quality talent and a team
I watched Magic play too....LBJ is better....and once he makes it to four or give STRAIGHT finals then folks will see it too
But lets stick to this theme of what LBJ has done....to me STATS is a true measure is one player better than another....particularly stats accumulated over a period of time or a career
Of the top 10 seasons of the best Rated Player of all time....LBJ has at least four (maybe five???) of those seasons already.....and LBJ has only played in 9 seasons
also based on how LBJ's all around play is the norm...he probably will bounce Wilt, Oscar or maybe even Jordan from the top 10 of the highest rated seasons of all time. I don't think folks understand PLAYER RATING or they wouldn't keep asking who's better......the computers have already assessed this and it evaluates and considers a player's pts, rebs, assts, steals, blocks, point differential while on floor, VALUE ADDED...etc..etc....and LBJ is consistently on top in the current year's play....and at the end of the season it proves to be a historical top 10 season of all time.
I also provided another link....that compares LBJ to todays greats and yester year greats......when it is all said and done....LBJs numbers and impact will be out of this stratosphere

Totally diagreed that Lebron is a punk. You must not watch enough sports.
To me punks are: Andrew Bynum, Latrell Sprewell, Chad Johnson, Terrel Owens....etc
Lebron is not even close to been a punk.
With time, Lebron will become one of the greatness in basketball, maybe in his own category. IMO, he is a combination of Hakeem, Karl Malone, Jordan and Magic put together.
Only time will tell

Lebron is on pace to pass these guys not because he is playing more games .....he is the fastest and youngest to this....fastest and youngest to that.....he came into the league producing right away....no learning curve
His curse is not his game....his game is as flawless as they come.
His curse is that he was drafted by an awaful organization with an awful front office.....and the fanatics (us fans) think that he was suppose to overcome that
Magic had Jerry West and Pat Riley.....great office and coach
MJ had Krause and Phil Jackson...great office and coach
Kobe jad Jerry West then Kupchak and Phil Jackson ...great office and coach
Lebron had who and who......silas....??.....mike brown??? then they hired byron scott to convince him to stay before he left
c'mon man
I agree with the post that said....this comparison will be easier and it will be clearer to the haters that they are on the wrong side of history.....LBJ #'s will be off the chart when it is all said and done.....titles are a team and front office and yes teammates thing......and LBJ did not join that race til he got the heck out of cleveland and got his behind to south beach
Folks trying to convince me (my opinion) that titles is the ultimate criteria to determine who is better than another player is like "someone pissing on me and then trying to convince me that it is raining" to me it's just not the case.
A players stats is what determines greatness.....and lbj will pass...magic, kobe, jordan.....even Jabbar.......
1) 5 out of the top 10 rated seasons of all time already belongs to LBJ
2) What player in history....facilitated his team;s offense....was also leading scorer on team.....leading assist guy on team....ran down folks and blocked their shots.....held folks at his position to 20% fg shooting percentage.....was capable of grabbing double digit rebounds.....best finisher on the break in the league.....guarded multiple positions in the same game....and during crunch time guarded the other teams best pg, sg, sf or pf????? Answer is No Bod eeee
3) Rookie of year, 3 NBA MVP, NBA Final MVP, Scoring Champ, 2 gold medals, will be #1 all time scorer, will be top 3 in career steals.....will be top 3 in career assists......will be #1 SF of all time....will continue to bounce either wilt, jordan or oscar from the top 10 as he continues to have highly efficient and rated seasons (see #1).....
4) And most importantly....I think the heat is about to go on a run and make maybe 5 or 6 consecutive nba finals in a row.....in other words....as great as LBJ is already....his narrative is still being written becuase he is nowhere near done
media actually think he will be an improved player next year - and be in the post even more......scary thought.....not to mention that Ray Ray and Rashard joined the heatles too.

@ wareeagle....you are correct. LBJ is not close. But the reason he is not close is becuase his career is not close to being over. Once his career is over then we can make a true comparison of one person career to another person's career.
@georgie....1st thing 1st.....all caps....and your language....are you stressed...are you angry...wishing me to die.....this is not that serious...we are fans....and should support our OPINIONS with facts.....and valid memories.................
c'mon man....this is sports...and we are fans.
Now, your Magic memories are valid. Since you asked, I too am 40+ years old.....The lakers were my favorite team in the 80's and I cheered for Magic over Bird in the 80's......and I remember those Lakers like it was yesterday.....As great as Magic was and is...he benfefitted from playing with HALL OF FAMERS (Kareem and Worthy)....and had great rebounders and shooters to support his skills....and they could get their own shot (Norm Nixon, Bob McAdoo..etc..etc...)....but your reference to an old Kareem is true but incomplete....even an old kareem had an unstoppable and unblockable SKY HOOK shot....the best signature move in NBA history.....Magic had that to go to in the crunch time...LBJ never played with any hall of famers in Cleveland and when Shaq got there...it was not the good ole Shaq .....it was an OLD Shaq.
What player doesn't want titles more....but when you have been drafted #1 by a poorly ran poorly coached team with NO HALL OF FAMERS on the roster to play with....well there will be No titles.
That's when we (maybe only me -- lol) must be able to say.....hmmmm that JIM BROWN guy sure can run the ball but he sure didn't have any help....I think he is better than OJ Simpson.
But the media has blinded folks into thinking that TITLES which take Team offense...Team defense...Great Coaching....and Front Office leadership.....is what determines how great the individual player is......c'mon man......."don't piss on me and tell me it's raining"
That propaganda just ain't right.
