Ticket prices, concessions prices, etc will rise accordingly as demands for more more more continue and owners are stupid enough to give in

The Packers on Friday agreed to terms with Jordan Love
on a four-year, $220 million contract.
The $55 million avg per year
matches the Jacksonville Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence and
the Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow for the highest in league history.

Do or die on the coast?
Barnwell, ESPN -
This season certainly feels like the 49ers' last chance of winning a Super Bowl with this current roster construction. General manager John Lynch & Co. will need to choose one of two paths over the next 24 months. One is re-signing Purdy and making cutbacks elsewhere, potentially to the very playmakers who have helped elevate Purdy's game.
The other is a path virtually no team has been willing to consider in the modern game: keeping the playmakers and everything else on the roster and moving on from a productive quarterback once he gets expensive, even if that means starting over with an unknown.

Putting all the eggs into one basket.....and when that basket falls....then what?

True. I've always felt the investments should go to the OL. Get the best OL money can buy (still far cheaper than a star QB) and they will make any avg QB a star (with a good RB of course)

Better to put the money into the OL. If one goes down with an injury, there's still investment in 4 others which is thriving.
But when huge money goes on a QB and HE goes down, the investment is efft for as long as he is down and perhaps after.
Rolling huge money on any ONE player is like playing 3 card monty on a Jersey street.

maybe a couple game changing edge rushers too

Point is, just not all on one guy (QB)
