Reviewing my notes further, this could potentially help some, or not . . . I am 29 - 3 when the juice I am staking is -270 and higher, but specifically for moneyline bets of -270 and higher I went 13 - 1 In a related matter, I was looking at the *HOME* FAVS of -7.5 and higher which I chose to bet, but made those bets buying pts on an "Alternate Line" with heavy juice. Here are my results when I bought pts to improve a "select" HEAVY *HOME* FAV's chances of covering at a significantly lower number: bought pts down to -6.5 .... 0 - 1 -332 (Eagles fail cover by 1 pt)bought pts down to -6.0 .... 1 - 0bought pts down to -3.5 .... 1 - 0bought pts down to -3.0 .... 2 - 0bought pts down to -2.5 .... 8 - 0 (mean avg stake is -315) = 12 - 1 when buy pts despite heavy juice
Good luck to you, Army I mean that.
But sunuvabtch you risk a lot of chalk! With your frequent talk about regression after running a hot streak, don't you think you could just as easily regress on all this chalk too? I mean there's such a thing as pushing your luck, right?

UPDATE: The heaviest of the rain (and the strongest of the winds) will be on Saturday morning. By gametime we're still likely to be dealing with scattered showers (on top of an already wet field). The main difference between the morning round and the afternoon showers are the winds. Saturday morning winds could gust between 30-40mph, but during the game models show something more like 10-15mph. So, does it matter? Yes, it does look like we'll see at least some rain, but we're avoiding the worst of it
Expect a very wet field though

@fubah2 I haven't seen many good 'ol friends of mine on Covers for years, one of them I think is expired. And I missed Lippsman (Covers Linesman) from NHL, he helped me went through some adware hassles from this site. RIP.
@Europa
I was here back in 2003. Actually all the way back to 1997 about when Wagerline started. Still had most of my hair back then LOL
Read good things about Lippsman.

The site has definitely improved over the years.
Do you remember a website way back then called "BIGGUY" ??
For awhile way back then, I was the moderator for their handicapping forum! The owner PMd me one day and said since I was so active on the site if I would be interested in volunteering to be the forum moderator and take a load off his hands, and he handed me the password for admin controls! About a year later he sold the site and the new owners scrapped the forum.
Only guy I ever had problems with was a wacko calling himself "Lou Diamond"

Not familiar with that site, but it's an interesting story.

It was a picks documenting site for touts and all us regular folk who weren't scamdicappers! Sorta like the My Contests page here. Pretty much the pioneers at the time. The cappers forum was small though, maybe only 40-50 regular guys. Disruptive trolls were dispatched immediately, unlike here.
It was the hugely popular site at the time while wagerline just a new player. I don't recall anyone named Fubah so he must've had a different username back then at both sites.

Good stuff Fubah! Your thoughts on Baltimore/Cincinnati ??
Ravens?
3rd string QB Anthony Brown, in his first start, threw for 286 yards last week against the Bengals! My guess is he will be tapped to get his second start with Huntley as backup. Except this time Ravens won't be sitting key players like Dobbins and Edwards and important TE Andrews!!! Yet, despite his first start and missing those key players he still got the Ravens to a respectable 16 - 27 score even with tossing 2 INTS.
Logically we might expect the Raven's offense to perform better than last week!
I'm leaning toward the Ravens covering as a large dog here
A couple net breaks and they can upset the home team BENGALS!

A few additional interesting facts upon review of my notes: • 50 - 23 with my best bets (which I bet significantly higher $$$) • I have only posted 4 bets using Vegas lines (ATS), going 2 - 2 • Moneylines, I am 38 - 18 for a modest/small profit overall • This means I am 44 - 18 on all the bets where I am buying pts, but laying heavy chalk! The latter is where I am making my money. While it might be tempting to assume heavy chalk bets are a bad idea, this is not the case in my handicapping style (including baseball)... • All bets where my juice is -270 and higher (moneylines and/or Alt lines) I am having a terrific season 29 - 3 Of those, a nice 21 - 3 on designated *BestBets (when the juice is -270 and up)
On the surface that strategy looks risky but so far you've managed it well Not so sure going forward

Ya how bad it that? Ravens didn’t even announce the starter yet watch Lamar somehow start
Unlikely though.
I also believe their next best option, Huntley, will only serve as backup. He's iffy due to bad injury to a finger on his throwing hand so even if he does play I wonder how effective his throwing will be, particularly if he gets hit on it.
