2 weeks to prepare is a myth....

Question

Saying the team with the bye from the previous week having 2 weeks to prepare for their oppnent is a myth. True the extra week allows them to work on their game plan, add in a few wrinkles, and get healthy but they can't prepare for an unknown opponent.

Once the wildcard weekend is finished both teams each have a week to prepare for each other.

The 2 weeks is almost always a beneficiary...unless you&#x27;re running into a wild card team on fire (2007 giants, 2010 packers, 2017 eagles)..but more often than not, the home team with bye is better off

I think what he&#x27;s trying to say is... yes, having a bye is an advantage... but no, it isn&#x27;t a magic wand that is going to make an inferior team beat a superior team.The team with the bye is far more often than not... the better team on paper!  In this case.... NOT!

correct Duderonomy....and yes health is a BIG factor, but bye team only has 1 week to prepare for what the other team is going to do not 2
