I like the value on these two teams that have the talent to win it all.
The feel good story this year will be the Los Angeles Chargers, led by Phillip Rivers. I like them to win the AFC West and I will make a play on them to win the Super Bowl as well.
The Chargers have quietly assembled an upper echelon talent rich team. They have talent on both sides of the ball in young studs Melvin Gordon, Keenan Allen & Mike Williams.
The defense boasts pass rushers Joey Bosa & Melvin Ingram, as well as stud safety Derwin James.
The kicker for me this year is Phillip Rivers. Here is a guy loaded with talent and passion who has had a string of bad luck losses.
Drafted in 2004, along with Eli Manning & Ben Roethlisberger, he has thrown for more touchdowns and has thrown less interceptions than both Eli and Ben.
Both of those other quarterbacks have won multiple Super Bowls.
Rivers has ZERO
Rivers will get one, maybe even this year.

With all due respect to eb, I feel the chargers take a step back from 12-4 mark of last year that included a 6-1 record in one possession games that is not repeatable...Simply put they should regress to the mean in that regard. Could have easily been 9-7 last year.
Rivers has had a great career in the regular season, postseason he has been mediocre even when he had LT and more talented teams he failed to get it done. He hasn't shown the clutch postseason ability that eli, big ben or even flacco have shown. Just because the other 2004 qbs have two rings doesn't mean he will get one.
The lack of a homefield advantage hurts them, especially if they should make the playoffs. Division rivals broncos and raiders have improved from last year on multiple fronts. 10 wins and a wildcard is their best case scenario.
Is anyone else perplexed as to why the 49ers have such unappealing odds to win the SB and NFC? WTF? No other team that has not won anything more than 6 games the last 5 years has odds this bad.
On top of that, all the books have the odds for Seahawks winning the division higher than the 49ers, YET the 49ers somehow have higher odds of winning the NFC and Superbowl!
WTF?!?
So fkn frustrating. There is no logical reason for this BS odds for the 49ers. I really wanted to get some decent odds but it's not worth it at these prices.

Not just 49ers, raiders are 60-1 for the sb at William hill, broncos are 75-1, yet raiders o/u win total is 6, broncos is 7. Fans usually bet their team to win the sb, the small bets add up and lower the odds, these are casual bettors who didn't even consider division bets and win totals.
You have to shop around, at William hill 49ers are currently 40-1, seahawks are 28-1 to win the sb.
