This line opened at Philly -2.5 just as I predicted and thats because of HFA and nothing else. Just as I said, it would never go to 3 otherwise there would be an unrelenting barrage of money rolling in on SF, and the books do not want that. Clearly they do not want that. So lets dive in here and take a look at what should be a fantastic and intriguing championship matchup.
The Phildaelphia Eagles are not quite the same team they were that started the season 8-0. They struggled a bit towards the end, and were exposed on Monday Night in an embarrassing loss against Washington. People are overrating the big win against the New York Giants, as we all know, the Minnesota Vikings were quite possibly the biggest frauds in NFL History but guess what? The NYG were another team almost exactly like that. They had a winning record but a negative point differential. They were not that good. My point is, dont put too much stock in the Eagles big win against them. People were quick to jump on and say they are back, they are badder than ever, well not so fast. They were well rested and the NYG are not that good. The Eagles have a very good secondary and a good pash rush but they can't stop the run. Elijah Mitchell and Christian McCaffrey are ready to run apeshit and Kyle will draw up some schemes to make it near impossible for Philly to stop the Niners run attack. Look for Deebo to get some carries and even Aiyuk to get a carry as they exploit Philadelphias weakness. Also Kyle has many plays he can draw up which are basically another version of running the ball, and has many weapons at his disposal to do just that. Short passes to Kittle, Aiyuk, Deebo, even Juszczyk ( did I spell that right?)
San Francisco has won 12 games in a row and were finally tested against a good Dallas team but other than that its been easy sailing. Demeco Ryans has his defense flying all over the place and everything he touches turns to gold. The Niners secondary is their achilles heal if they have one but even they arent too bad and it will come down to how much pressure they can put on Hurts. Usually in the playoffs Nick Bosa and Arik Armstead come out relentless and I expect that here.
The Niners are a better more complete team, with more experience, with a head coach who is nasty at drawing up plays and utilizing his weaponry. Kyle is absolutely awful at times at clock management but if he can overcome that and not hyperventilate late in this game, I like the 49ers to come out on top in a game that might not even be as close as people think. Brock Purdy has shown no indication of slowing down, he is the real deal. Its laughable that people are saying "he is unproven at coming back" blah blah blah, well hey you dont have to come back if you are never behind. Theres a reason his team is never down. He is consistent, he doesnt make mistakes, he is cool calm and colected and man is he accurate throwing the football.
I look for the differences to be the Niners pass rush, the Niners running game, and Purdys consistency to get the ball to Kittle and company when he needs to. Purdy and Kittle is quite the connection, they have something special ever since Purdy took over as QB.
San Francisco is the better team, hotter, with more talent on both sides of the football. Barring any horrific mistakes they win this game and advance to the SB against Cincinnati Im thinking.

"Purdys consistency to get the ball to Kittle and company when he needs to."
Just to be fair......1.You are a HOMER. And 2, that catch by Kittle was AMAZING!! The kind that is comparable to the Giants catch on the helmet in there super bowl. I wouldn't count on George to make those off target catches all the time. 3. I love Purdy.....but he is going to make a BIG time mistake in this game. Now, will he regroup, or slide down the slippery slope he creates. Should be an Awesome game!
BOL with your SF bet Mr. Gape

After seeing your posting history. I am effing shocked you're going with the 49ers.. is anybody else in the same state of shock that I am in right now?

As a Niner’s faithful of 41 years, you have to be concerned with the pass rush, and, Purdy’s rookie quivers.
Yeah, he pulls it out, we win games, BUT, it took him almost the entire first half to look like himself against SEA. DAL had him all shook. Not looking right, until late in the 3rd.
PHL pass rush is going to be stronger, and more aggressive, than the DAL pass rush, and, just IMO, Brock isn’t going to have the whole 1st, God forbid until late in the 3rd, to shake the rookie fever, and be his composed self, or, it’s going to be lights out.
As you mentioned, and has been the case for a long time, our secondary is my absolute biggest fear. Aside having a soft spot that was exposed the 1st drive or 2 in each game since LV, with a 60-70+ yard connection right off the bat, Hurts isn’t Dak, and Brown/Smith aren’t Lamb/Schultz…..
it’s going to be a real tough game, one when’re it is going to come down to one mistake, on either side, that’ll determine the game.
GO NINERS!!!!!!

The difference will be the SF pass rush? The Eagles have the best pass rush in the NFL bro. And the best O-line.
It actually hasn't been easy sailing other than Dallas as if you look, SF has rarely scored many points against teams with top 10 defenses.
The Eagles were exposed vs Washington? They lost it on a clueless ref decision. A play that should have been a 15 yard penalty was missed and instead resulted in a fumble and injury to Goedert and they still almost won but they again made a questionable call at the end.
You have complete home team diehard blowhard blinders on and a line of 3 will not end in a non stop barrage of 9er money. It will probably get there come kickoff.
The 9ers barely got by a Dallas team that is seriously flawed and not clicking and the Eagles when Hurts played Dallas had the game in the bag so early they were able to take the foot off the gas in the 2nd half and still win and cover.
Either team could win this but your analysis is a joke, I'm sorry.

I dont know where you clowns come from, how am I a homer if I have never been wrong. What part of "I only pick my spots because I know my team" is so hard for you and others like you to understand? If I pick them every week sure call me a homer. You are realy gonna call a guy a homer who is like 9-0 posting these threads and also posted to take them +1200 to win it all when they were 3-4? They havent lost a game since.
I have missed maybe 4 Niners games in the last 34 years. I have a great feel for them.
LOL at you for comparing the Eagles pass rush to Nick Bosa, the DPOY. Learn the hard way I dont give a shit. But just because you have inferior knowledge and intuition and possibly intellect for you to call my analysis a joke is ridiculous. Dallas seriously flawed and not clicking? Whatever but they are good. And the Niners have averaged the most PPG in the NFL since Purdy is the starter, this stuff is indisputable pal.

When I watch Purdy and the Niners it reminds me of the late 80s 49ers. The team that when they got the ball you expected them to just go down and score. If they didnt score it was crazy. This feels the same.
They are smooth. The quarterback is cool. He stands back there and has an uncanny ability to spot the open receiver and next thing you know the ball is in his hands and hes running away.
The Niners are very very hard to stop and I feel like the reason people dont get it is they just dont have a good feel for them like I do.

Purdy is also incredible at avoiding the sack. He makes great decisions. Not like Jimmy G who had some kind of fetish for getting buried by defensive linemen while Kyle screamed at the top of his lungs to get rid of the Goddamn ball.

Eagles will win because Purdy will get outsmarted and throw a pick or 2. You talk of many years I have been following for 50 years. Home team with the more exp. QB and better offensive line almost always wins these types of games 35-24 Eagles. Sorry
