I thought the under was inevitable after goin for the two point conversion and not getting it

 Can anyone explain to my why Mayo went for 2 after the second TD? 

he was down 15 so 7 points make it a one score game. 

if you miss (they did) it’s still a 2 score game. 

was he thinking they would go for two twice and get it for the win in regulation? 

only plausible explanation I can come up with but certainly a bad call imho.

 Yes they know the numbers, no they are not thinking about that in that moment. I was just making the statement that it fucked the under.  He was pissed off at his team and embarrassed them like that. He clearly didn’t learn anything from Bill. There was a time when coaches saved face. That ship has sailed.
