The young 16 year old female player collapsed and died right after the game. A nurse was on scene but CPR was unsuccessful. Tragic.

Fuck all, how about you? Flag football is a very dangerous game, it’s on her parents for allowing her to play. They should know the cardiac related dangers involved. I did donate $200 bucks to the funeral of the teenage hockey player in Beeton, Ontario who died of cardiac arrest in his sleep though. I trained him so they was heart wrenching, hence my donation to his family.
Man you brought back some tough memories asking me about my donation. This was my young dude, he was loaded with talent and had a heart of golf. They refused to allow him into hockey arenas here to follow his dream so he did what they made him do to play and his heart gave out within two weeks after having issues immediately. Again tragic. Peterborough Petes lost their first round pick as well he dropped dead between periods at a tournament this past summer. I knew him as well. Again tragic, but enough of that, this was about the football player, it’s a football forum.

It’s a football forum, I posted a tragedy involving a young football player, end of story. I should feel compelled to donate money to the family because of the post?? That seems quite unreasonable. The other posts were only because your mention of a donation did bring back memories of the two young men I knew here personally in my homeland and the help I did lend to their families. I also give to charities all the time. I actually ran my own charity last summer for the humane society here, it was really destitute so I swam in lakes and rivers all over Ontario gaining followers and donations it was a lot of fun and a huge success, I can pm you the link if you’re interested, it was a very rewarding and fun experience. I also volunteer helping the homeless in downtown Toronto, a group of us drive around in the middle of the nights providing blankets, hot beverages and snacks during the winter months. Been doing that for many years. Perhaps you’d like to come with sometime ? I could find a space for you on the van I’m sure if you’re ever up for it. You’ll need to let your anger go first though. It’s an operation of love and peace and you seem a bit angry ??

this is a great idea and thing you do! I would like to tag along sometime perhaps next winter as sadly a trip to Ontario this winter seems difficult to manage this year. I have a 4yo and 6yo and want to make sure I raise them as best I can and showing them at a young age that, while Xmas and birthdays and presents THEY RECEIVE is great and all, donating time and resources to those in need is exponentially a greater feeling with great purpose

Absolutely, it's a great teaching moment for sure. It can be s bit overwhelming with the rate of homelessness exploding here the last few years, but it really is rewarding, and the appreciation we see for our efforts from these people with nothing will really move you as our efforts visibly overwhelm a lot of them emotionally as well.
The OP posted a link to a random person who died playing a sport. All the online articles covering this death are vague at best regarding her true overall physical health. Perhaps she had one or several underlying issues which led to her passing. Perhaps she was 7 months pregnant and went into premature labor? Maybe she had fentanyl in her body from drugs she took earlier on. Maybe she was born with a weak heart to begin with, or an undiagnosed aortic anomaly? Or some other major organ system was not properly developed in utero.
If you do not have direct access to her medical files, then either donate to her family's financial hardship and continue your agenda, or STFU...a 16 year full life playing sports, having a home, food, clothes, electricity, a warm bed,,,that's a dream life for 100000s kids in Africa or Middle East,, they are dying all over the world from a lifetime of starvation and diseases you marshmallows would not survive a week with.
