Seems like every game he has 2-4 throws of 40+ yards where the guy is streaking wide open and he over throws by 5+ yards. He use to be able to play a top off a defense but he just can't hit that homer anymore. He's still got great mobility and a rocket of an arm but his down field accuracy is basically deceased.

Well...he has a WR playing RB and has one of the worst Wr groups in the NFL...that doesnt help.
Also, the fact the top 3 Cb's are hurt and Matthews...the D cant stop anybody...which forces him to try to do more
They're paying the WRs near the tops in NFL in dollars. Nelson has been slow to get back from knee surgery. But what's Cobb's excuse? Adams is fine. The WRs aren't horrible, and certainly talented enough. So that begs the question is stubborn old McCarthy holding offense back on scheme?

Garbage, don't understand why Vegas still gives GB SO much respect with the lines. GB is always an AUTO fade with the huge -lines given to GB for the past 2 years I've made quite a but fading them

Nelson is the only WR that would start on every other team...Cobb would not start on many other teams beside GB and would be a #3 on most teams...they have no RB, no TE, no deep threats,...I dont think many people realize the lack of talent they have on the outside

I know it isn't a popular opinion, but I never bought the hype about him being in the conversation as among the best ever. Always overrated, not just in recent years. Not saying he hasn't been quite good; just not among the greats.

He has been on a downward spiral for 3 years. Still an elite QB, but not the same guy from his prime. Every year he's been slipping up a bit. Fame and commercials got to this prima dona, his ego barely fits in Lambeau

Aaron'd biggest problem is ZERO accountability. When he does great, it's all him.
When he fuks up, it's on his receiving corps.
He's a douche, and guys DO NOT like playing with him, contrary to popular belief.
Greg Jennings, whom Rodgers didnt want back in GB because of Jennings problemsBesides and lack of play (look at what happened when he left GB, he was terrible)...tell me one other player who has said they dont like Rodgers?

Zero WRs, no TE, no RBs, bad route combinations and a QB that doesn't look motivated.
Rodgers was the MVP in 2014 and only Tony Romo would have been the other choice at QB. So the argument that he has been in downward spiral the last 2-3 yars doesn't hold water IMO. Since the start of 2015 his WRs and TEs are terrible, just flat out terrible. In 2015 the GB receivers led the league in failed receptions (64), lost touchdowns (10) und ranked 4th in lost yards (635). So Rodgers lost 64 completions for 635 yards and 10 TDs on accurate passes.
Mike McCarthy needs to scheme the WRs open but instead he wants Rodgers to hit them on isolated routes when they can't win 1on1s. The GB play-calling is good when you have the Redskins receiving corps but not the Packers one. Rodgers is obviously frustrated and seems like he doesnt care about a win or a loss. That results into stupid throws here and there.
It's easy to blame the QB, but he is the smalles problem Green Bay has.

His receivers are getting open on deep balls he just can't hit them.
Watched the game only a third along with SD and LA, but there was a situation I remember:
Nelson ran a deep route (looked like a post) and only had the safety to beat. Rodgers led him to space with a well thrown ball but in the replay it was clearly to see that Nelson didn't have full speed on the last 15 yards of his route. He accelerated too late. In 2014 it would have been a touchdown. Nelson is far from his 2014 form.

I had colts and the over so I watched the whole game. Jordy 100% is a shell of himself he cannot outrun anybody. There were two other plays he had a man deep for a td and he over threw the receiver by 5 yards. He also seems to be running for his life a lot but so is Luck. Gb just can't execute. Maybe is the coaching too because there schemes week to week seem to be pretty bad too.

It's not all on Rodgers. Jordy Nelson is no where near the receiver he used to be. He is struggling to get separation coming off his torn ACL. Cobb has been banged up too.

Rodgers was told by the NFL to play at a mediocre level. Be the underdog and let a new QB to rein MVP... #1 offense will go to a 31 yr old Matt Ryan for MVP. You can't always get what you want in the NFL. You get paid to play. Matt Ryan will get his salary up after getting MVP. With a high salary as Rodgers... he is playing at the level he is getting paid.
Don't blame Rodgers, blame the coaching staff. Their routes and play calling is making his throws and time in the pocket too long! Short throws and almost no guys being open.. making Rodgers have to scramble to get yards.
He may not get MVP.. but I can still see this Packers team become very strong late in the season and beat all teams in the NFL, including the AFC Patriots.

Aaron "fire drill" Rodgers....if he takes the short open stuff and runs the offense the packers are unstoppable on offense..Bears & Atlanta game, though they lost the Atlanta game. Yet he wants to scarmble around for 3-4 seconds an make the home run 30-40 yard play. Defenses are adjusting too him and know he is impatient.

Packers play best as underdog, not as favorites. Mis season- they let an AFC catches up to fight with the texans. Something you have to lose in games to mess the AFC division up.

Exactly
It is so comical to hear/read talk about how Rodgers is the problem and he has plenty of weapons. Yes, he has missed some throws he usually makes the last bunch of games.
But, his WR's/TE's/Rb's are AWFUL. When Nelson was hurt last year, Cobb was useless. But, people think he is a great option? Adams wouldnt see the field on more than half of the teams in the NFL, yet he is their #2/#3 right now. Rodgers as a TE, ha come on!
Besides Nelson, who still isnt 100%, not one of their Wr's can get open off press coverage.
GB has done a really poor job the last 3-5 years with not bringing in threats on the outside....its very disappointing. He doesnt even have a top 22 group to work with on the outside, I can name only 5-7 teams with worse options
