Just thought I would throw this question out:
Come on Covers what's your opinion & thoughts on this?
I can't see why he would go anywhere but Indy. Probably because I'm a biased colts fan. But really, if you want a team that's ready to go to a superbowl that's the one. Great running back and O line and a much improved defense. Rodgers can work wonders with a team like that.

Why is jimmy G the only QB that is not allowed to throw an interception? Jimmy G has the 2nd best road winning % at .759.
Rodgers does not end up in SF.

Rodgers will be in Denver.
Davante will be a Raider.
Trey Lance is SF QB next year and they will have a QB as good as Jimmy G this year, with huge upside and low cap $$ on rookie deal.

@Macwestie1
100% realistic possibility.....as is Tom Brady joining the Niners but Rodgers I'd say has a much higher chance of making that happen.
The AFC is loaded with the young talent; Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Herbert, Denver doesn't sound nearly as appetizing as SF.

I watched Aaron Rodgers AND Alex Smith very closely in college. The Niners we're boneheads for drafting Alex Smith. That ship has sailed. Pittsburgh is a good landing spot. The Niners need to either keep Jimmy G for Lance to study behind (smart move) or throw Lance to the wolves next season and hope for the best. I've been hypercritical of Jimmy G but it's all been based on what I saw as flawed mechanics stemming from his knee injury. Prior to that injury, he looked great in this offense. He knows how to play QB. I just don't believe he has the pop on this passes to be a viable NFL QB. However, I could be proven wrong. Another deep playoff run and the whispers by the peanut gallery could be what pushes him back to the top of his game. I don't believe his problem is physical. I believe it is an issue of confidence. Not confidence in his own ability. Specifically confidence in his knee. The confidence to really plant that lead leg and fire off of it. He still treats it gingerly at times leading to passes that flutter and float. Confidence after an injury sometimes takes years to come back. Sometimes it never comes back.

@MoPinkie
Huge upside? Will he get them to a SB in his first year as a starter, possibly a 2nd within 4 years (one of them when the team was completely injured)?
I guess Jimmy G's 5-1 playoff record isn't good enough, doesn't show any upside. Don't work with him and try to make him better, just give him away for Trey Lance (that's a riot).
I love these kinds of posts...
Look at the final 4 qbs, and for that matter the final 8. They play qb, not run a high school offense where their shelf life is 5 years, Mahomet is special, i don't see him in any of the new qbs on the scene. (RGIII, Cam Newton, Lamar Jackson - yes Lamar Jackson) do you think he has a better upside than Jimmy G? Gonna be 2 SBs in 4 years with a win against Matthew Detroit Stafford on Sunday. Jackson has maybe 2 more years left until the incoming defensive players will be faster than him, and then he's RGIII because he's not fooling anyone with his passing ability.

The New Orleans Saints would be a awesome choice for Aaron Roger's they have a very good defense. The division is not very good it's indoors weather won't be a factor. This is his best chance for a Super Bowl ??

Rodgers is arguably the best of all-time, but I think the Niners win the Super Bowl with Jimmy G in a few weeks. He could still get Trent Dilfered though.

Very realistic possibility TB12 retires. Gronk insinuating he'll be back regardless. Godwin will return and Evans is back. They would only need another QB. Weather a whole better than Wisconsin too. Next best thing to California

Jimmy G has very little upset and has looked like shit in every one of those playoff wins I can remember. He hasn't been the same since his knee injury. And I'm starting to believe he will never be the same. I mean, in one of those playoff wins, his head coach took him completely out of the game plan.

I don't think TB12 retires so Tampa is out. No Payton no Orleans. What about Tennessee? HMMMMM HMMMMM! He's only going to a winning situation. Denver is not a winning situation! Do not see a fit in Pittsburg.My three in order SF, Tenn, Dallas.

My Large North East book said they won more on the Rodgers off season prop than any NFL FUTURE .. Everyone the Broncos were -300 at one point ..House cleaned up with him staying with the PACK

@greenhead
I wasn't aware that you and TB12 are best friends apparently. His wife wants him to retire, it's no secret, and he talks about spending more with his kids, they're 9, 12, and 14. Think about their ages, I'll promise you he does. He may decide to play one more year but I think the odds are greater he retires. Kind of the local feeling here although we could be wrong, jury is definitely out either way.
