I don't think its crazy that some people bet that much.

I do think its crazy that a guy on this forum and asking how to do it is betting that much yeah. Anytime a guy voluntarily wants to tell you he has a HUGE amount like this on a game 99.9% of the time its total bullcrap. Guys who have $30,000 to toss on a game don't go to covers.com to ask how to get it done, they just don't. Been around this game wayyyyyyyyyyyy too long to believe this phony story

I've seen a guy buy in for 30k playing 1k hands at black jack and the dude was hitting 14's and 15's against the dealers 5 and 6.

I agree. But I will say that he was losing 3 out of 4 and 4 out of 5 hands and just could not understand how he would just lose lose lose. 

I was for some reason still playing (quarters) at the table (I was at least acting in front of him at the time. I think I was first base. Although I usually on play 3rd.) and he got a 17 against a dealer 10 and looked at me and said i'm gonna hit it. I know I am not suppose to, but I should do it. Shouldn't I?

I told him "you should do it" You know that dealer has a 20 (I really didn't think he would). So he did it and got a face card. Dealer had 17 and my new buddy just shrugged his shoulders. On to the next hand.

What is my point to all this? Nothing really. I just like telling the story. Other than it would not surprise me some guy coming in here trying to figure out the 30K bet. But you seem to be keen on the fact that it is completely bogus. I would probably side with you since have given your POV and you seem rationale.

NO BODY has $30,000 in this forum to wager on a single NFL game YOU all post monopoly money picks bunch of attention h o es is all i read about This team Large that team huge etc...
After games are done and the picks went 1 -3 they never come back so the thread stays buried on page 6.

U might not have 30k but I know plenty of people including myself who can show u 3 stacks by going to the bank or out of our safe. Just bc it's not always bet doesn't mean it's not there if I was this confident in a game I'd do the same thing so do us all a favor n mind ur bs n play ur 10$ wagers in private. U have no business being in the thread

Since this thread generated a lot of interest, and a lot of garbage-talking (just the way we like it), I wanted to update everyone on what happened.  I didn't go to Vegas, and also couldn't find anyone (completely trustworthy) to go make my bet for 3k plus airfare.  However, I worked my way around my bookie's 1k max bet rule so that I could load up on the packers who, everyone knows by now, I said were the lock of the year.  I want to thank everyone who supported me and talk a little garbage on the donkeys who can only write "fade" the minute anyone is confident about a pick and willing to put REAL money where their mouth is. Here is my text to my bookie that day with my plays (a few of which were pending from the Nevada game Saturday night).

Tease nick packers and Nevada.

I do all sports but I'm definitely best with NFL.  Early lean on Indy and if you can get it at 3 I would before it goes up.  It pains me to say this because I live in Baltimore, but the Ravens are a very soft 3-1 team. I  Luck is going to slice and dice our secondary.  Colts win 31-20.
