i stated the truth. Very simple BRO. If you knew how to talk about YOUR team (find that odd in itself....packers fan that lives in illinois) objectively and just put the homer flag down, then you would be taken seriously.

Also funny that you joined in 2011 and have been touting the pack. Where were you when the Pack was a struggling team dealing with Favre's drama?

It's very simple, you're a homer. We get it. For 15 weeks you shove it down our throats how great the Packers are, then they lose in KC and you are nowhere to be found. Now they win again and magically you pop up. In fact you were the one who bumped this thread back up.

Now as for my comments, yup they were classless and so were yours. Neither of us has been classy. Now that's out of the way, just admit you are a homer and move on.

What would happen if the Packers lost a playoff game? You know if that should happen the entire NFL forum will bash the living shit out of you, and honestly you would deserve it, but that is neither here nor there. If the Pack were to lose in the playoffs, would you disappear till next season only to return under an alias name touting another team, possibly the Super Bowl winner?

If you could just accept the good with the bad that goes along with being a homer/fan of a team, then we could all go along with that.

Do the right thing, admit your stance so this can move forward.

If the Packers lose in the playoffs, covers.com is going to bash me???

Oh no, I will lose so much sleep cause of people I never met in my life using a keyboard to talk trash

If you look, I was on the board the day they lost to KC....I was in 4 other threads people called me out just minutes after the game

The thread I started wasnt bumped until days after.  I was dealing with a death in the family, sorry I wasnt updating covers forums at the funeral....I know I was scared at what covers.com posters were saying....

You got me...."Homer Packers fan" born, raised and living in Chicago

You do realize that statement correct??

You do realize that statement correct??

i never said you were born and raised in chicago. Simply stated illinois based on your location that you selected.

I could care less if people bash you, and I honestly don't know whether or not to believe that you had a death in the family. Coming from you, that sounds like a nice coincidence to stay away because YOUR team looked like dogshit that day. And of course saying things like "death in the family" is one of those topics where most people won't cross the line and question anything.

However, I am not one of those people and if in fact you really did have a death in the family, it is unfortunate that it was not you.

I guess you havent been following my posts.  I have had to explain this atleast 30 times.

I am 29.  I was born and raised and lived all 29 years in the suburbs of Illinois.

If anybody knows anything about football, its how bad people in Illinois HATE the Packers.

The odds of a person from Illinois becoming a band-wagon and homer fan is beyond impossible.

People in Illinois root for the Packers to lose more than they root for the Bears to win.

As for my comment on the death in the family.  You accused me of disappearing after the KC game.

Look back liek I said...I was on covers that day, minutes after the game and in atleast 4 other threads.

How is that disappearing???  I had 4 THREADS...which all ended in the penelty box, in which the title was..."WHERE IS LETGOPACK NOW?"....Just minutes after the game, and I was in all four of those threads right away...to me that isnt hiding

Why in the world would I make up a story for not being on covers for 3 days in the middle of the week after a loss???

    1.  Then dont accuse me of "disappearing" because it is not hard to check threads people post in.  If you took 20 seconds to look, you will see I made 20+ posts minutes after the Packers lost

    2.  You dont have to live in Illinois.  Anybody who knows anything about football understands the Bears/Packers rivalry.  I understand the Yanks/Red Sox or Giants/Jets or Giants/Dodgers or Michigan/OSU feuds without being there.

    3.  I have more important things in my life to worry about than making up lies on covers.com

Second team or just back up QB who happens to have been there for years? That's like losing to Frank Reich during the Bills Super Bowl years. I don't see a lot of shame in that....especially on the road....especially at Lambeau.

I didn't see you come through yet and own up to your awesome prediction on the Lions finishing 9-7 or 8-8 and missing the playoffs though.

    Nice call on that one

Thought I would bump this thread in honor of this post.

I guess he really did let the Packers loss get to him since he hasn't been back after creating that useless thread about the "Giants Advancing" and not really beating Green Bay.

I also want to bump this in honor of everyone that called Suh dirty. I wanted to give you guys a chance to call Kevin Love dirty as well.

lol..what does most of this have to do with the hometown detroit lions..they need to upgrade their oline and dbacks as they have for years..also possible issues at LB and DE with Avril contract up.  Some tough decisions with megatron about to get paid and piling up so much money on defensive tackles.  a running back is also needed as it appears best's career is all but over.

    lions team needs
    1. OLINE of any kind
    2. Corner
    3. D End if Avril goes
    4. LB especially if Tulloch walks
    5. RB who knows what Leshoure will bring, Best is on his last brain
    6. Safety Spivey is a sieve.

draft potential: Mike Adams OT Ohio State, Peter Konz C Wisconsin, Whitney Mercilus DE Illinois, Stephon Gilmore CB South Carolina

they are scheme specific with corners who can play cover 2, so while they have passed up some in drafts, there is a reason.  Would love to see Carlos Rogers or Brent Grimes come in but Grimes is probably not going to fit scheme and is going to get overpaid, while Rogers is a slot corner, he struggles on the edges.

    let the offseason begin

I completely agree with your thoughts on the Calvin contract. I'm hoping he is willing to rework his deal and maybe get more guaranteed money over a longer period of time for less now. I'm hoping he is in this thing for the long haul and realizes how much his contract will eat into the next couple of caps. I'm sure Mayhew would be willing to restructure his deal, and have it benefit Calvin in the long run.

I'm so excited for this draft and this will be the lowest pick the Lions have had in a decade.

I also agree that Best is done. He really should retire. There is no need for him to take any more concussions at this point. I heard someone say that the Lions should just draft a RB every year in the 3rd or 4th round out of principle with all the injuries that position takes. I kind of agree with it as well. Even Kevin Smith came off the couch and was effective for a few weeks. Drafting that spot yearly can be justified especially if they can contribute on special teams while waiting to break in on the offense.

I would love to see the Lions go Oline first, but only if the pick fits the spot. If they have to trade up, without getting raped, or down then that is fine.

I was really optimistic after 6-10 since I knew every break had gone against the Lions. Now I am really optimistic since I feel like Mayhew and Schwartz have this organization on track.

Detroit Lions are not mediocre. Anyone that plays in the Patriots Division are mediocre, ie Jets, Bills, Miami.

Detroit will improve on the defense next year and pretty much have the same offense as Saints, Packers so they are a smokey to win next year.
