The Chargers are a good team to fade because they forget how to score points after halftime in most of their games.
But with so many games to bet on I am probably not adding this to my card because Jameis was always jekyll and hyde and he can suddenly just come out and throw pick6s, have turnovers in consecutive drives etc. He was always a turnover machine, it was something that just never changed in his career. It basically defined his career (well, that and a few other things) because it overshadowed his ability to drive down and score which he also has always had.
I do think Harbaugh is overrated. But I also seen time and again backups that come in and light it up one week next week they regress next game. It's hard to believe the offense is suddenly fixed. I think the Ravens just didn't have the juice that day. They were on the road for the 2nd week and 3rd in 4, probably thought it was gonna be an easy game and got caught out. Ravens 32nd ranked pass defense had something to do with Jameis looking good too.
That was the game to be on the Browns, and it's over. I certainly wouldn't want to try to make a living off of hoping Jameis can not throw picks, hoping the Browns offense doesn't go back to sucking and hoping they stop getting so many penalties (most in the NFL). With these 2 offenses and defenses it looks like a strong under play, but it's not a game I really even want to watch tbh let alone bet on.

The game against the Chiefs for the Chargers was without Brown, Rice and Pacheco. They grabbed Hunt off the street and a rookie WR, a washed up TE and a couple other TE’s. That’s the Chiefs B team.

As much as I love my Browns and Jameis, the Ravens (awful) secondary dropped 3 potential interceptions that hit em square in the chest. Never seen that before.
IMO, this is a 50/50 game so I'll stay away.

The Chargers are a great team to fade in the second half. Its not the team. Its both Harbaugh brothers ideology of "protecting" the lead by running, playing defense and trying not to score. Never works
I also believe Winston will be challenged by the Chargers secondary.
Cleveland has played the easiest pass defense schedule in football: QB ratings of: 99,112,104,94.102,88,94,103 ( Average 96). & that with the Browns #s thrown in
Now comes the Chargers at 81.
Makes you wonder how Watson was having such a miserable year, playing the softest schedule?
( watson was NEVER good. ever. Made a career accumulating stats against prevent defenses)

I'm still waiting for the Chargers to hit their stride this season. They haven't been able to string together good performances all year.
I wouldn't say it was a good performance last week either. They won, and covered, but it was a pretty sloppy performance last week until the end. I believe the Chargers lead the NFL in offensive 3 and Outs.
What did happen last week was I believe the Chargers first big play of the season. A Ladd Mcconkey 60 yard TD catch. Maybe the offense is starting to click more, because that took a long time to happen.
I also don't like betting teams that just had signature wins. Big upset win against the Ravens last week makes it not a great spot for the Browns.
And I don't know where you get that the Browns have a better defense. The Chargers are 8th in total defense and the Browns are 14th. Though I will concede that the Browns have played a tougher schedule defensively.
Either way, I like the Chargers this week as well. Jameis is playing better than he did in New Orleans. The knock on him was that he had great offensive stats, but threw too many picks. This neutered him a bit and he was too scared of making mistakes, so he would barely move the ball.
The Ravens were an easy matchup for Jameis to exploit. Ravens ranked dead last in passing yards allowed per game (291). That's pretty "sik".

With all due respect, the Browns schedule has been much harder and it’s not really even close. Looking at W/L record in this aspect is a fallacy. Look at who they played. The Chargers have played only one good team, the Chiefs. They also only scored 10 points against the Steelers. Bye, Denver, Arizona and 2nd string Saints isn’t even close to @Washington, @Philly and tough division games against the Ravens and Bengals. Winston is going to play well again, I always liked that dudes personality. He seems like he’s be fun to hangout with. He finally gets his shot in the NFL and shines. Chargers won’t score 13 against the Browns defense.
According to Jeff Sagarin, LAC's SOS ranks #31 and CLV's ranks #23. Versus Sagarin's Top Ten, LAC are 0-2 SU and CLV is 1-1.

Winston provided a much needed spark last week and what QB isn't rusty their first game back. Yeah he has a history but don't we all?
I see this as a chance for Jameis to resurrect his career much like Wilson is doing in Pittsburgh. A change of scenery can work wonders. Nick Chubb is working his way back and will explode one of these days IMO.
The Charger offense isn't exactly lighting up the scoreboard. Herbert has only thrown 8 TDs this year and their O is only averaging 18 per on the scoreboard. Those Charger D numbers are a mirage as they have played the weakest offenses in the NFL: Raiders, Panthers, Steelers, Chiefs (no juggernaut), Broncos, Cardinals and Saints. Let me hear an Amen!!!

Lost in this discussion is the anemic offense of the chargers with Greg Roman calling plays! This guy is the most predictable play caller in the league. For this reason alone, it's a no play for me. But good luck with whatever you guys choose..

Browns have been born again after watching that walking sexual assault suit attempt to play qb... Completely different team with a qb that throws the ball down the field and can make first downs to take pressure off a D that was on the field way too much. Chargers are supposed to open it up a little this week, I like this game over 42.5. I'm all alone which is where I like to be. Winston for better or for worse gets points scored in games. Always has. The team plays for Winston, they hated DW and it showed. Teams that have won 2 games don't have letdowns...

Last week the Browns played a depleted defense not that Baltimore is that good of a defense to begin with. Baltimore did have 2 starting defensive backs out for the game. And as stated Winston should of had at least 3 interceptions, but the Ravens couldn't hold on to the ball. The Browns have a couple receivers questionable a 3 starters on defense out. Winston gets exposed today for the Quarterback that he really is. There is a reason why he is not a starter and it will show today.
