@WilliamMunny
normally 3 or 4 bets actually for me
spooky, right?
how will we ever make them work
I liked NFL teasers, and used them effectively in the 80's, and early 90's. You could get even money on two leg, 6 point teasers. You could lose one leg of a 2 team teaser and the bet pushed, even if the second leg lost. As time passed, scoring in the NFL increased, and the books got greedier. From 1985 thru 1994, there was an average of 40.2 points scored in an average NFL game. Over the last 10 years, the average points scored in an NFL game has been 45.8. That's 5.6 more points per game being scored in recent years. Most books charge -120 now to play a 6 point, two leg NFL teaser. You don't get as much out of your 6 points as you used to get, and you are being charged more for them.
Now, let's talk about parlays. Most bettors are under the impression that parlays are sucker bets. They have probably read this in a book about sports betting. When most of this material was published, a standard two leg parlay of two -110 bets paid fixed odds of 13 to 5. Now, most books pay parlays the same rate as they do straight bets, which is .91 to 1 for each bet. A two leg parlay at -110 now pays about 13.24 to 5. Parlays based on a .91 to 1 payout are no more sucker bets than a standard -110 straight wager. The return is exactly the same. So, while teasers have become much worse for bettors over the years, parlays have become more favorable.
Before anyone chimes in about the advantages of "Wong teasers," I was playing them about 15 years before Stanford Wong's 2001 book was ever published. I'm not saying that you should never bet a teaser, (Actually, I am) I'm just saying they are not nearly as good a bet as they once were.

Damn......you can do 8 teamers??
I get capped at 6, but the real edge for me is using the 10 and 13 points, and I can only use 10 on a 3 teamer, and only 13 on a 4 teamer.
Otherwise I can do a 2,3,4,5, or 6 teamer with 6, 6.5, or 7 points......
a 6 team 6 pointer pays 7 to 1
a 6 team 6.5 pointer 6 to 1
a 6 team 7 pointer 5 to 1
I rarely do the 6-7 pointers, probably 1 or 2 out of every 10 teasers I do. The 5/6 teamers actually do payout well though, but a lot of times doing a 5/6 team ML Parlay pays as good or better, so unless theres a real edge in the points, I just stay away.....

Profitable for the books... I believe I just read an extra 7% over regular wager profits for the books.
That does not mean some are not winning. Just that the books always win...
