I woke up liking the Jags giving the points….Jags are remarkable 8-3 ATS…best in the league ATS!
but wait a sec…
I’ve said it last weekend vs Pitt and let me go back on rewind (bet I lost btw)…Pitt went on a 7 pt swing w/ Burrow out. Crazy discrepancy imho. A QB should never be worth 7pts in my eyes…especially withe a team like Cinci.
If my theory fails again, then I’m a bum at bringing it up and will eat my words, shit it out and eat it again.
The Why….
Browning has his 2nd opportunity tonight in primetime. Again, if Burrow was playing, line would prob be Jags -2.5…a 7.5 point swing w/o Joe?
IMO, Browning is good enough to keep this within a TD or less. Confident, made good throws LG, and most importantly admitted to what he did wrong to the press a few days ago.
Remember, Cinci still has one of the best FG kickers, one of the top WR’s, decent running game, and a great HC. If you’re surrounded with good players and leaders Browning should easily be more connected with this team
fill em MNF

Does Browning have an issue with his throwing hand wrist or is it a rumor? I think it should be closer as well. Looks like Etienne has some rib issues as well and a good hit may put him on the sidelines IMO. Then again, what do I know. BOL on your play today

I like it. Personally I'm playing bungles over 14' team total. I think they can score a little here in Jacksonville with all these skill players around. Gl

Good capping you were completely right about almost everything. Except I do believe the Bengals run game is worst or next to worst in the NFL. BUT, they busted off some nice runs today vs a good run defense so I can't fault you on that. The Jags pass defense is actually one of the worst in the NFL so I think having 2 guys go out in the secondary really hurt because with those WRs you have to be wary of the pass so it opened up the run game a bit.
I was still surprised how well Browning played especially 1st half. He made some mistakes but didn't throw any picks and he certainly didn't look rattled. The guy was a star in college and a HS champ but to come in and play like that after not having played much NFL at all and only one game under his belt which wasn't great. On the road, MNF, vs a pretty good team was impressive.
Ultimately it looked like the Bengals just matched up well vs the Jags, similar to how they match up well vs Buffalo.
I'm never laying 9.5 in a night game ever again. 3 times in the past 5 days I got burned on it and I have only myself to blame not learning after the Cowboys and Ducks both couldn't get it done.
These games are not supposed to be blowouts or people won't watch all those really expensive primetime commercials same ones over and over again. That iPhone ad with the carolers is already on my last nerve.
