me either having the Giants ML in 2008 or having the NE/ATL game go to OT in 2017 which I made at halftime
ive never won a super bowl bet cause I only take the favorites, I’ll lose again this year. Or so I’m told

Who remembers wins? I can only remember horrible losses.
Seattle losing to Pitt
Seattle losing to NE
Getting a line of O/U 5 penalties in some SB about 20 years ago and losing the over (5???)

Had the Steelers 1st half against az pretty large and won on that miracle James Harrison pick 6. Also in that game had yes there would be a safety and santonio holmes mvp. Very profitable super bowl

Best SB I ever won was the year Peyton Manning lost to the Seahawks. I actually had a future on the Broncos and thought that the tide was turning and offense was winning championships now (which actually has come true in recent years). If you don't remember the Broncos had the best offense ever in that year.... But Seattle had the legion of boom.
The week before the Super Bowl I was feeling confident but was content to just let the future bet ride and not bet the game flat. Probably due in part to Manning flaming out in the playoffs with the Colts so many times but no, I was feeling good. I was and still am a bit apprehensive about black running QBs in big games, I know that sounds wrong but in these spots I usually take the whitebread pocket passer especially when he is more experienced.
Then a few days before the game I had a dream that Manning was getting swarmed by the defense all game (Seattle was the no.1 D) and in the dream I was feeling disappointed watching the game in the exact bar I had already planned to watch it in (I live in Europe, 5 hrs ahead of EST so you have to know a place that will do a 'lock-in' til 4 am for the game and there aren't many)
I decided to hedge my future with a bet on the Seahawks, even though up to this point i i always thought gambling dreams were meaningless and just the result of ruminating and watching so many games over the season especially leading up to SB Sunday.
I also bet for there to be a safety in the game, a defensive or special teams TD (there was both) and the Over on Peyton Manning INTs. They were all really good odds especially the safety.
The way the game played out it was a huge blowout and Manning looked just like in the dream. The safety was in the first minute of the game after he got sacked, he threw a pick 6 not long after
I lost my future bet but cleaned up on the game. Ive never had a dream like that since then. Tbh i still think it was due to me thinking about past Peyton Manning playoff failures that I lost on and not because I'm psychic or anything.

Seattle losing to NE was BRUTAL. I had $750 on that. That was a huge bet for me at the time. Still would be today as I think my biggest bet this year was $550 on an individual game. But, my income has quadrupled since so I could stomach it a little easier. I literally quit betting for a few years after that, partially because my next door neighbor, who was a cop, told me that if I was betting through a book, he’d recommend I stop immediately. That NE interception was painful.

My two most memorable Super Bowl bets:
1) Betting the Bears, big, in Super Bowl XX. (In hindsight, I never, ever should have bet as much as I did. I bet a lot of money by TODAY's standards. Why I decided to bet that much back in '86 I'll never know.)
2) Betting the Bears would score first, at +170 I think, against the Colts in Super Bowl XLI. Hester returned the opening kickoff for a TD. My bet won on the first play of the game.

My best SB was SBIII. When I mortgaged my house, life savings, retirement and my unborn child on the Jets +18 ML after Namath guaranteed me a win. Why I’m still here on these forums is beyond me?

Best for me was the 43-8 Seattle win over Denver. I hammered Seattle Alt Line at various numbers all the way up to -34.5 which paid something like 50-1.

@PeterSteele
Worst bad beat of my betting career!
It took me months to get over that!
I watched that replay on NFL network the other day. Michaels and Collinsworth repeatedly said they couldn’t believe Carroll made that play call.
F THAT GAME!!!!!

My best in my mind was my first - Bears ML against Pats. I was 10 yrs old and didn't understand the spread, ML, vig, etc... So I gave my $25 to a local and told him I wanted the Bears to win outright. When I only got $35 back I was pissed - thought I was going to get $50. He sat me down in the back of the bait shop and explained how sports betting worked.

Actually, it is Darrell Bevell the offensive coordinator, not Pete Carroll, who made that dreadful call.

Don't get too cute, Bevell, let your best offensive player win or lose for your team in the goal line situation.

I used to work for a casino that is next door to the city where his mother lived. Occasionally around the Red eyed times after midnight, she and her young boyfriend and another lady would frequent the card room. She looked just like him and her clothing of choice? Athletic wear like wind breaker jump suit by Nike or Reebok, possibly free from her son n his sponsorship. Did not know who she was at first until someone brought it to my attention. Looks just like him and thought her young boyfriend was her bodyguard as he was the driver. She was a good sport at it and she showed us pix of her n her son n I think she wore his ring too.

The time when Brady came back and beat Atlanta. I was watching it but saw how down they were so I headed to a local casino to try to win my money back.
As I was walking on my way out, I was curious to see why there was a crowd around the tv. I took a peek and I could not believe myself. I was yelling so loud that security had to be called.
I missed out on the 2h and even today, I still don't know what happened as I never gotten around to see the whole complete game.
The thing with sports betting is that we tend not to walk the past. We just move along as there are games on the following day. A bad beat? It doesn't last long to me. Onto the next game. Go whammies this weekend.

Good morning covers family:
i’ve got a doozy for you, it was Super Bowl 27 the Dallas Cowboys versus the Buffalo Bills. O.J. Simpson Flipped the coin and ironically it was heads. I was invited to a VIP Super Bowl party at the Gold Coast. Alan Scano at the time was the casino manager. As we walk in the entry to the party Roman Gabriel is signing official Super Bowl hats and programs, I asked him I said Roman who’s gonna win the Super Bowl he said the bills, I said wrong answer Dallas will win this one again. Long story short I played Dallas the first half and the over in a parlay, won that one. At half time I played the same bet Dallas and over And that was an easy win. The Cowboys scored 35 points off a Super Bowl record nine buffalo turnovers including three first half touchdowns. They brought in the bills back up quarterback Frank Reich Who replaced Jim Kelly Who was injured in the second quarter. Reich through a 40 yard touchdown at the end of the third quarter to cut the lead 31 to 17. Dallas scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to make the final 52-17. Troy Aikman was named Super Bowl MVP completed 22 of 30 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns. Great game, awesome party to say the least, as well as winning lots of money.

Most memorable (biggest at time) win = Seahawks winning over Broncos
Most memorable (biggest at time) loss = Seahawks losing to Patriots
"best bet" = 1st Super Bowl bet ever, Hester first to score +2000 (followed by Colts -6.5)
...good times.
