Friday morning update. They report late lopsided action on KC. . I loved San Fran prior to this report.
"Whenever a Bay area team does well, we usually don't do well," Pullen said. "The Niners resonate throughout the country, but there's a fervent fan base that comes to Nevada from California. As of right now, it's considerable liability.""We'll be Chiefs fans," said Craig Mucklow, vice president of trading for Caesars Sports.""Any team from the Bay Area, we cheer against. So now, the 49ers are the only real trouble spot for the book."The heavier volume of wagers is on the Chiefs, but the bigger bets are on the 49ers," Caesars vice president of trading Craig Mucklow said, noting heavy San Fran Super Bowl futures liability continues to be a strong factor in his shop's need. "If you bake in the futures, we're still Chiefs fans."Those bigger bets Mucklow alluded to have mostly been on the moneyline. Almost right out of the gate last week, Caesars took a $1 million play on 49ers moneyline -120. On Thursday, a $500,000 49ers -125 bet landed, and this morning, there was a $136,000 49ers -130 bet placed.

Of course that would include Golden State and the Giants, 4 championships for GS, one for SF, 5 total since 2014 so yea that's a fair amount of money the Bay Area collected in recent years. I believe Vegas came out good in KCs 31-20 win over SF in 2020, that strong 9ers team was a public and Bay Area fav. Heavy futures on SF too this year but I seriously doubt the players know or care who's betting on who. Going to be a close game regardless, outcome will be 4 points or less. And Niner fans better hope the Chiefs aren't the last team with the ball.

That would be accurate if indeed we know the information being reported is accurate. There are always conflicting information on this stuff. Especially as it relates to a game like the Superbowl.

Maybe they are asking for more KC money to collect the home run. Bookie Vegas is setting up the biggest haul of their life on this one as 1 in 4 people are going to bet in this Superbowl.
Line don't move. Not even total

The ultimate for Vegas would be a SF win by 1 point, rumours of KC already planning a Valentine’s Day Parade? Are they jinxing themselves

The guy from caesars is acting like nobody bet futures on other teams like ravens, eagles, bills, lions etc. They already got all that money and combined all those teams losing bets probably dwarfs the amount that they would have to payout if 49ers win.

Their you are sir. Only San fran is a liability on future ? I seen many on Baltimore and Buffalo along with Eagles AND miami. And if you want to go that route. The + money on KC would even out. Sanf ran was never more then like +800. From October and on they were like +500 or less. Meanwhile, KC went up to like 1400. SMH

Who in their right mind would believe any of this information. At best, you should go opposite. Why would books cut their own throats, unless they believe most punters will use reverse psychology as I am considering.

@CalBear2009
I think the books are generally playing 3D chess with Super Bowl. I read somewhere else that they are trying to offset existing risk with 49ers futures - so it’s probably not always a linear movement based on single game action.

Anyone who makes their bets on this game based on which side has the most money on it is an idiot. Bet the game according to how well you think the teams will do. If you like the 49ers, bet them. If you like the Chiefs, bet them. To consider how much money other people, (who you don't even know) bet on this game is ridiculous. Who cares?

Well if these are to be true, I usually look at action networks public %
Currently it's 66/34 in favor of the Chiefs spread
61/39 in favor of Chiefs ML.
I think it will go down a bit more by kickoff. I predict 60/40 Chiefs spread , 55/45 Chiefs ML. Those are just volume bets, I don't have access to the money %. From whats been reported more of the big ML action is on 49ers so take it for what it's worth. It may be closer to 50/50 if you total up all the money on both sides...
I don't put too much weight on these numbers anyway but it's fun to guess *shrug*
