I ran my numbers and got the same line as vegas Car (-2.5). I don't think they have a lean one way or the other. IMHO the line is just right based on the two teams and what they have accomplished to this point. 

I've been riding Carolina and the Pats and they are evenly matched. I would normally make this game a no play but I think when two teams are equal I will side with the better coach and qb.  

I'll post BB record coming off a bye when I get time to do research but I know it's something ridiculous. 

Belichick > Rivera
Brady > Newton

If Talib comes back Panthers will have trouble moving the ball. Pats will play man and crowd the box to stop the run. They have the secondary to do so finally.

Carolina has a good defense and they are at home. I don't see why they cannot win this game. Cam will be ready against a banged up defense. They don't have many weapons on offense, but Cams ability to change the play on the run will be the reason they make this game close. Not to mention their defense is solid.

Tough call on this one but a small bet on Pats is the lean.  Panthers have momentum and would love to prosper in a home MNF game. On the other hand, Pats have won like 10 MNF games in a row and are very good as dogs especially when feeling dissed.

Indy on TNF and NO on SNF are easier calls.

It can change but the field might get a little slick with it raining sunday and monday. Better running attack will win if conditions stay I believe. BOL

Don't be so sure about pats running in bad weather. Look at the SF game last year or the Titans game a couple years ago in the snow storm in October.

I'm never going to bet against Tom Brady in a prime time game that he's an underdog in. Yes Carolina has an excellent def, but Brady is a winner, and winners don't like be disregarded as the lesser team. New England the play all day and night

not sure why so many people think this year in and year out but...

Rain really doesn't have a major impac tin football unless it's simply a horrid downpour... Wind is the weather factor of note

i'm really not a heavy bettor (1-200 per game, 500 being max and once or twice a year i'd go 1000 on a game that i really like) but i'm willing to lay 500-1000 on this game (leaning pats +2.5) so i want to see/get many angles as possible. 

its seems like everyones talking about brady vs carolinas defense but whos gonna score for carolina? you give hoodie 2 weeks to prepare for cam&company and i really dont see carolina scoring more than 17 points and that won't be enough beat brady. thoughts?

I really do not see Carolina having any issue running the ball. Yes they will load the box up but that will leave one on one with olsen, every once in a while a deep ball to ginn. I can see this one coming down to 4th qtr. I would not bet 1000 on this game at all. The pats have o-line problems. The steelers front 7 is not anything like the panthers front 7. The one plus for Cam is if there is nothing there he can run for 10-20 yards in a play just like that. If they use a spy then that leaves more one on one coverage. Just my opinion. BOL I will be at the game but am not betting on it, will just enjoy the 10 beers and screaming at Brady :)

My opinion as a life long Pats fan -

The pats need to establish the run which will be difficult, otherwise, it will be a LONG day for them.  Pats need the run to keep the Carolina front four honest.  If the running game is ineffective, the pressure will get to Brady and he will rush throws/moved off his spot.  Everyone is human under duress. Its a tough game for the Pats. I'd lean CAR

As simplified as "Tom Brady doesn't do well against good defensive lines" sounds, it's true.  However, Brady and Belichick after a bye are usually dynamite so this will be interesting.

^^ Run game will be key for Pats . I would be even more confident if Shane Vereen would play. Check down if the other receivers are covered. I think Car Lb and their DL have to win this game for then. Cover Gronk ? Amendola? Dobson downfield? Who to double and single coverage? With Talib back, He practically would take away Car best receiver. Hoodie with 2 weeks to prepare.... I would love to get proven wrong. Pats practically played same stout Dline in healthy Cinci game. They should have / could have won that game ( a Gronk questioned penalty ) . Yes Im a Pats homer cuz i followed them religiously and know them well. They love being dogs :)

The Steelers' secondary got LIT UP by NE because Pitt's backfield is small.  I can't understand how EJ Manuel couldn't find paydirt.  Oh well, Buffalo sucks - no touchdowns in the last 7 quarters.

Anyway, I would lean towards NE this week with Vereen back, but even without him, what I LOVED last game was NE's RB LeGarrette Blount - he's a freaking bull!! 

I think the teams from New England area - Celtics and Patriots are playing inspired ball.  The Boston Red Sox are already there and New England could be next.
