The gift from the NFL that stops giving after this Sunday when the BEST quarterback to EVER play the game opens up another round of fingers for his sixth Superbowl Championship Ring.....In the meantime Brady haters...Were still here...were still here...were still here

Silverstones is indeed correct on that charity information...so many famous people use these foundations as tax shelters and for their personal gain and embellishment.
Look at Jerry Lewis and musculardystrophy...he made a fortune doing that telethon...millions in fact...a small percentage of the Clinton foundation actually goes to helping people...instead it fuels this family's lifestyle.
Tom Brady isn't Mother Theresa...nah, he enjoys the fruits of this world too much.
George Harrison always TALKED about spirituality and his thing was big 100 room mansions, and high priced, elegant,cars...his business of course but I tend to discount his line of thought when it comes to downgrading the joys of material wealth.
Tolstoy eschewed wealth and went to live in a cave and B. Traven worked as a knockoff doctor among the poor of Mexico sometimes not even picking up his royalty checks...Ghandi lived humbly...so some people actually turn their backs on wealth and fame but I would not be looking at #12 to do that one anytime soon.
Everyone, and I mean everyone in the world has their own decisions to make when growing up ... Do I want to be rich ? Do I want a great job ? Do I just want to get by day to day ? Do I want to be very smart ? Do I just want to go through school as quick as I can ? Do I this ? Do I that ? The list can go on for miles ... At the end of the day, what I am trying to say, is this man obviously wanted to be a quarterback ... He did what he had to, to get there ... He put in the hard yards, day after day after day ... He became one of the best / if not the best ... Obviously not everyone will agree ... That's life ... There will always be the haters of successful people ... You go on and on about people being humble ... If you are so high and mighty about it, why don't you go out, make some big money, and give it to charity ... Why don't you go and live humbly ? Why are you gambling trying to make some easy money ? I am quite positive Ghandi didn't gamble !!
No one would have a clue what Tom and his wife do with their money ... For all we know, he gives millions to places, but shuts up about it ... I cant remember 1 champion over the years that hasn't had some sort of hating or accusations thrown at him ... People in general ARE A JOKE when it comes to things like that !!

I learned a new word...Idiocity...or did I...standard dictionaries (Oxford, Merriam Webster etc.) don't recognize this word and even though the Urban dictionary recognizes it they chide its use with the following poorly written comment:
What Jennifer and Mel (the first two people two write a definition for this word) are afflicted with. Idiocity is what causes them to be idiotic. (Actually it's a pretty useless "word", and seems to be an overcomplicated substitute for idiocy, but whatever.) Their comment not mine.
I love words, you might say I am a word kind of guy...I used to proof read articles for publication domestically and overseas but if the Urban dictionary recognizes it, and PB uses it, by God I will swear to its existence. (I don't go around correcting everyone's English like a neurotic, school marm with a tight hair bun either).
I have another word though that fits this conversational narrative:
Hagiography: Oxford dictionary defines it as the writing of the lives of the saints or the treating of a subject with undue reverence.
Humanity has a tendency to do this one IMO, we elevate our athletes, musicians, and all other notable personages up so high up that they cannot live up to such a high regard.
Of course they have feet of clay and are a mixture of great talent and noble inclinations along with all of the baser emotions.
Is Tom Brady a saint? Of course not. Is Tom Brady an evil demon? Of course not. Do saints and demons exist in human form? Of course they do.
A great lady in the publishing biz once told me that the world cannot be seen as black or white but rather as a murky shade of gray.
The mass of humanity fits in there in that murky gray area...

Still waiting for the first guy to come in with his own personal accolades, open finances, and most importantly -- SB Rings... that puts Brady's to shame. Until that day, no one is in their mind to talk so much ish about an athlete and His record.
I know, delusional DUDE. Some one hits a bet, has a 50.1% picking record, or just thinks the other team is better than a single player... so their opinion must be the Law. Couldn't be more ecstatic for this game to be played already (still gonna smell like crap for another week though)

I never launched any personal attacks on Tom Brady...or any personal attacks on you or anyone else just now in this thread. This subject seems to have hit your hot button and affects your ability to comprehend what I have written.
What I object to is the media and public's desire to make saints out of the narratives of peoples lives (hagiographies).
If you address your comments to the points that I made, we can have a give and take conversation, if not it ends up with you being angry and argumentative.

Maybe you should re read everything from top to bottom ... It hasn't hit any hot button what so ever ... I have answered the things that you have thrown out, virtually in the same context as you have ... The man has ""made it"" in life ... Good for him ... I paste your quote --- ((Tom Brady isn't Mother Theresa...nah, he enjoys the fruits of this world too much)) --- I don't know anyone that is, do you ? ((so some people actually turn their backs on wealth and fame but I would not be looking at #12 to do that one anytime soon)) --- I most certainly wouldn't turn my back on it, would you ?
No one is attacking anyone ... I was just throwing back at you, the things you were throwing out there ... Simple ...

You made personal attacks on me and then denied doing it. So be it...
The only thing I go on and on about these days are the cute posteriors of sexually attractive young women. I might praise Mexican tequila from time to time (Don Julio or 1800).
High and mighty...yeah, there was a great old song by that title years ago...but that bears no relation to me.
Any charity that I do is drawn out of my own funds and is not by fueled by some phony charitable foundation whose sole purpose is for its officers to use it as a tax shelter and personal expense account...as is the case with so many of the rich and famous.
The quality of my lifestyle is my business and if I choose to gamble with my own money, that is my biz too...I certainly won't be asking your permission.
As far as offering up and forming opinions about the world I live in...who doesn't?
