The RAMS couldn't put the Raiders away off of their bye 4 days ago. Today, Puka comes back and they have an offense once again. What's more incredible was the line... An impressive 5-1 team that beat quality opponents (SF, Houston, GB) favored by only 2.5 pts over a team that is 2-4 and shopping their #1 receiver. The wild card is the officiating, one drive early, 3 very timely penalties to keep a drive alive to make a td, carried them down the field. Minn defense looked nothing like it did vs SF or Houston. All of the sudden they can't stop the run, or get any pressure on Stafford. I don't believe they ever sacked him. I think the prime time games are 5x as difficult to cap.

I think the NFL is a week-by-week proposition in that you have to look for “spots” to take teams. I had the Rams as one of my top picks of the year because of the situation. The Rams (at 2-4) were the more desperate team playing on Thursday, and they knew that a win would put them right in the thick of the NFC West race, with a game against Seattle next week. Minnesota, on the other hand, had their bubble burst in losing for the first time and then had a long (two time-zone) flight, which is very tough for Thursday teams. I also know that the Detroit Lions are one of the most physical teams in the NFL, and playing a Thursday game on the road after playing the Lions is especially tough. I would have to check, but it seems like nearly every team that plays the Lions loses the following week.

I know it doesn't make sense, and everyone was on the vikings but you simply did not do enough research. If you look any comment history there is discussion about how this can be a trap game. There was also someone who posted that stat of teams losing after playing the lions. Along with a few other variables like short week, Rams playing at home, and vikings only -3 favorites should have told you this wasn't going to be a easy game to call....

@BornToDie could you explain who they were missing that game besides Cooper kupp? i genuinely want to know so it can help me assess the rams better going forward
They were missing Nacua. Went for 7/105 tonight and made the Rams offense work. How did you not know he was out since week 1? He is their best offensive player. Didn’t he win ROY last year?
