I don't think most people would have confidence in Sanchez all of a sudden just because of one relief appearance so that "perception" is just not there. With 7 points or higher, the Panthers will be as popular as a dog can be which usually doesn't go well.

LC, you do realize that Newton is the worst high Profile QB to ever play in the NFL right? I mean all the PUB and never did a good thing as a NFL QB

I know Sanchez very well having watched all his games.

Like the previous game, he will treat this and the rest of these starts as his one and only shot at redemption to become a starter in this league again.

While the OP is well-written, it doesn't consider this. 

Remember this is a guy who beat the Colts, Chargers (when they were elite) and the Patriots on the road....in the playoffs.

He can certainly handle the corners of Carolina, given that. The guy has seen more than enough prime time games and MNF vs. The Panthers isn't even a pimple on the fanny of those games.

I won't be laying the number but I am hard pressed to see how Carolina wins this game and why it warrants an 8 unit play. GL, I am rooting for Carolina because it mildly affects another game I am interested in this weekend.

Good luck -- these trends point opposite, but I think 7 is way too many for sanchizer

Carolina has lost 7 of the last 8 games coming off a home loss and they have lost 46 of the last 77 games when playing as a road underdog of 7 points or less. Carolina has lost 27 of the last 43 games vs. NFC East Division Opponents and they are only averaging 12 points on offense in their last three games.

Carolina is 1-7 SU coming off a home loss in their last game

Sanchez comes from a dominant college program and won on his own with no one around him n a piece of sh.t coach. Now has a decent coach, cams a fkn tool!! Files will never be back,

Perception is that Sanchez is a capable QB due to him coming in relief against the Texans but he had some things going heavily in his favor. Houston was already playing without Jadeveon Clowney and Brian Cushing, but they also lost both starting cornerbacks Kareem Jackson and Johnathan Joseph mid-game. Sanchez won't have the luxury of facing 2nd string cornerbacks against the Panthers.

Carolina is winless on the road this year but they have played in 3 of the toughest stadiums in the league thus far. Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Green Bay. People forget how bad of a home-field advantage Philly has but it is one of the worst in the league (12-26 ATS past 5 years compared to 19-16 ATS on road). Besides the blowout against the Giants, The Eagles beat Kirk Cousins by 3 and Austin Davis by 6 at home.

Panthers have had one of the most disappointing seasons in the NFL thus far but noone is talking about how hard their schedule has been. They've faced the Lions, Steelers, Saints, Seahawks, Ravens, Bengals and the Packers yet are just 1 loss back of the Saints for the division lead. Cam Newton is 2-0 SU and 2-0 ATS on MNF and 4-1 ATS off 3 straight losses. I'd be surprised if this line closes at 7 - Cam is going to run wild tonight.

The Eagles are in first place in the division and have a big game at Green Bay next week. The Panthers are 0-3-1 their last 4 games, off a home blowout loss, off extended rest, and have noone to look ahead to. Who will be more focused tonight?
