mrusso, forgot to add that you mention that when good teams get blown out they bounce back...see I don't buy that...we need only look at the Packers last year...they were blasted by the 49ers in the regular season and then were destroyed in the playoffs by the same. The 49ers ran it down their throat and that is what Tampa will do also. Anyway, sweep your board...
The packers run defense gets hurt the most by a wide zone blocking scheme. This is what the niners use, Minnesota as well which ran all over them. Buccs do not use this run system so while they will probably have some success running I dont think it will be quite enough to lead them to a W

You're exactly right, Rodgers had no time, under constant duress much like game 2 of the Bucs/Saints matchup where Brady was under pressure all game. But then last week, the O line actually did a good job, crazy how there can be such decisive turnarounds but that's sports, making adjustments. Rest assured GB has made theirs come tomorrow too.

I do find it a little interesting that Bowles sent those blitz packages in that game. Tampa was getting carved up early so he just sent extra guys in creative ways. He did what he had to do so they could win, but I wonder if he shouldn’t have shown his hand. It’s something you can adjust to, and it Green Bay adjusted right than they should be fine.
You really have to wonder if the Bucs lose this game, if Todd Bowles just waited to show Rodgers those pressure packages in the playoffs, that Tampa would surely be victorious.

Great insight as always mrusso, one of the most NFL cappers on Covers but you know I'm riding the Bills right to the Super Bowl, they're hungrier and get it done today.

Short and sweet, I've been in and out of more threads this past week than ever and I've been on Covers since 2003. The Bucs are playing their 3rd road game in a row. It's going to be below freezing, yes, it matters even if just a little. Rodgers has been the best player on the planet. Good teams that get blown out the previous meeting (same season) tend to bounce back and usually in a big way (see Bucs last week). The Packers are the better team IMO. Anything else, see "Keymasters" write-up, everything I would have said and then some. PACK -3, -120 Luv what the Bills have done, luv Josh Allen. The Bills ain't going away anytime soon, believe that. Winning the Superbowl is in the cards for the Bills, if not this year, perhaps next year. But I love Mahomes and the players around him a little more. They're like an All Star team, at least on offense. Like last year, their defense is a little underrated, they make the plays that they have to, i.e., Sorensons hit at the goal line. I know CLE fans wanted targeting but that hit caused the fumble that ended up being the difference in the game. Targeting is in place for safety, not to prevent fumbles. Chris Jones is the best defensive player on either side, I don't think he gets enough credit, mostly because of all the great players on offense. And home field, might be limited fans, but they're a raucous bunch. Bills fans, your Superbowl is coming, to steal a line from "Gladiator," "but not yet." Chiefs -3, -120
Not really sure how you can even make this statement. The whole reason guys went and still go head hunting is to knock the man out so he drops the ball. Sorenson pulled his arms down and launched into the head of Higgins. That one play cost the Browns the game. The Chiefs will not be so lucky and be sure the NFL and refs will be on the look out for more head hunting from Sorenson. That was a cheap shot and cheaters don’t win.

The play was a bang bang play at the goal line. They didn’t call it for a reason and we won’t see it called again in the same situation. That play happens at the 30 yard line in the middle of the field or side lien and yes it’s getting flagged. Please quit with that narrative “browns would’ve won that game”... they had a whole other half to win. They played against Chad Henne for 22 minutes and still couldn’t get more than 15 points. Say they do get the TD, how do you know Mahomes then gets knocked out??? Down and distance would’ve put kc in a completely different play calling situation and the “luck” in Mahomes getting injured would’ve been different. Browns were never winning that game. If you think otherwise then sorry.
Thank you America

Go get em today Russ I’m large on KC -2.5 and ML but have the early game interests split up. Big Packers 1H and small on TB +4 and some teaser action. Futures will pay big for me on KC / Buccs SB so I hedged a bit with Pack but I favor that side anyway. Will be a great day of games and any matchup we get for the SB will be a great one.

I completely disagree, but that's ok. Like KC said, it was a bang bang play. If you ever played any competitive football, try and tackle a guy diving for the end zone about a foot off the ground. It's natural for your head to lead, head precedes body. Sorenson was thinking one thing and one thing only, don't let him get into the end zone and as it turns out, he happened to knock the ball out too. I said it before and I'll say it again, if there's no fumble, CLE fans wouldn't even be talking about targeting. My whole point though is that the Chiefs defense going back to last year has come up with a big play when they had to, whether iti was a big stop on 3rd down, a sack, creating a turnover, etc. And for that, and perhaps the hype around the offense, they are underrated as a unit.

Cup, you know I like the Bills, hard to believe that an AFC east rival has made it's way into my heart. Maybe the money I won on them last year, going to 4 straight SB's without a win, maybe the generosity of the fans, maybe that I've believed and said in this very forum that Josh Allen is the real deal, and he's making me look pretty good these days. Like I said I don't when, but there's a Super Bowl championship coming to Buffalo, and when it happens, I couldn't be happier for a team, for their fans, and for the great city of Buffalo! GL to you!

Tampa Bay just flew into Green Bay yesterday. Now I don't know if the NFL wouldn't allow them to arrive earlier due to Covid but in such extreme climate differences, yes I said extreme, it's 70 degrees here in Tampa right now, I would always want my team to get there ASAP so they can acclimate themselves.

Green Bay has incredible running backs and although Tampa run d is great, Green Bay did not deploy all 3 backs first game, now they are. Green Bay can and will throw successful,y at home in the cold. Tampa run game - fournette overrated , Jones hurting , it’s good but not enough. Tom Brady a goat, concerns me with his WR but I think Green Bay keeps up and wins.

Butker and Succop have missed the most XP's this season, 7 and 6. And both have missed one in the playoffs. In weather less than ideal, wouldn't be surprised to see another one.
Let's have a great day of football along with sum good food and a couple cold beers! Good luck everyone!
